The Space
Casa Monarca is a traditional Atitlan house set in a quiet, peaceful bay. Incredible views of the volcano and surrounding mountains can be enjoyed from every corner of the property.
The home is suitable for a variety of families and includes both indoor and outdoor living areas, a fully equipped kitchen, a pool, and a hot tub. Additional features include:
- A private dock with kayaks
- A fireplace
- A barbecue grill
- A hammock
- Board games
- A beautiful garden with paths for afternoon walks among monarch butterflies
Please note that groups of young adults are not accepted.
House Features
Casa Monarca features traditional rock walls, handcrafted artwork, and colorful textiles.
- Every room has access to a bathroom with hot water; two bathrooms are located in the hallway.
- An additional bathroom is available by the pool.
- A portable changing table can be provided for babies.
- The pool is heated with solar panels and includes accessories for entertainment.
- Four rooms have lockable safes for storing valuables.
- The house includes two televisions with cable, Wi-Fi access, and Bluetooth stereos.
Lake Access
The house does not include a boat. However, guests may bring their own boat or other watercraft.
- A vehicle-accessible ramp is available for launching watercraft into the lake.
- Guests may use the private dock.
- Life jackets are provided for adults and children.
Parking and Security
The property is enclosed by a gate and offers parking for up to six cars.
Guest Access
Our team will open the gate and assist you with settling in.
Additional Information
- If you need transportation from the city to the house, we can help arrange it.
- The maximum capacity is 15 people, and we prefer that this limit not be exceeded.
- If more than 15 guests are staying, please notify us in advance. An additional fee of $100 per person per night will apply.
- Groups of adults under 30 who are not accompanied by their families are not accepted.

As advertised. Slightly difficult to get in and out of. Def need a higher vehicle. Home was nice. Pool area was great. If with a larger party take plenty of towels as there isn’t many in the home.

It is a beautiful place. My family was delighted with Annis's accommodation. The scenery was beautiful. We were very satisfied. The people who take care of and help at the place are very friendly, and the host is very nice and friendly. She quickly provided a solution to any problem or situation. Very nice house, we would definitely come back. It's a bit secluded, and I don't think a car that isn't high would be able to get in. The host is very friendly and very open. We appreciate the experience; we had a great time with the family.

We loved the property, which is what you see in the pictures. The outdoor gardens are beautiful overlooking the lake. We spent most of our time on the patio, using the pool and hot tub enjoying Lake Atitlan. Silvia (caretaker) was very sweet and eager to help if we needed something. Definitely back here next year, only for a longer stay! Annis is a fantastic host who cares about her guests. Loved this place!

Our stay at this Lake Atitlán was absolutely beautiful. The views alone are worth it, waking up to the lake and volcano every morning felt unreal. The space was clean, comfortable, and thoughtfully designed, with everything we needed for a relaxing stay. The host was incredibly welcoming and responsive, making the whole experience smooth from start to finish. Also Don José and Family were absolutely sweet, accommodating and very helpful. If you’re looking for a peaceful, beautiful getaway, this place is a gem. Highly recommend!

The staff was amazing here. The views are gorgeous. Our group drove to the house which was a little challenging due to Google Maps. Highly recommend hiring a boat tour while you are here.
