Casa Blanca is a restored 1750s colonial villa in Granada, featuring a lush courtyard and 40-foot pool. Six bedrooms and six bathrooms accommodate up to 11 guests steps from the cathedral.
The Space
Casa Blanca is a unique 6,000-square-foot colonial villa in the heart of Granada and a featured stop on Granada’s colonial house walking tour. Built in the 1750s, the home underwent a careful two-year restoration that preserved its original architectural details while incorporating modern amenities.
At the center of the villa is a lush courtyard with a 40-foot swimming pool, ideal for cooling off on warm afternoons.
Electricity is not charged separately in full. To encourage energy efficiency, 10% of the rental rate is applied toward electricity usage. Please see the electrical consumption policy under “Other Things to Note.”
Location
Casa Blanca is located at the upper end of the pedestrianized Calle La Calzada. Granada’s famous cathedral is next door, while the bustling central park and La Calzada Street’s entertainment district are only steps away.
Accommodations
The villa has five bedrooms arranged as follows:
- A second-floor en-suite master bedroom with a king-size bed and balcony.
- Two double bedrooms, each with a queen-size bed, en-suite bathroom, and individual air-conditioning unit.
- A family suite consisting of two connected rooms. One room has a queen-size bed, while the other has two single beds and doubles as a television room. These rooms share one air-conditioning unit; the connecting door must remain open for the room with the single beds to be cooled.
- A fifth bedroom on the ground floor, located beyond the kitchen, with a single bed, private bathroom, and air-conditioning unit. This room is suitable for a live-in nanny, maid, or additional guest.
The living areas are arranged around the villa’s extensive corridors. The main corridor includes an antique rocking chair and a coffee table beneath a powerful ceiling fan. A more relaxed seating area is located at the opposite end of the pool from the main dining area.
The home also features two traditional colonial living rooms with doors opening directly onto the pedestrianized Calle La Calzada.
Furnishings and Dining
Casa Blanca is furnished with exquisite pieces from the local manufacturer Simplamente Madera, which uses only high-quality certified hardwoods.

The house was perfect! Huge house for four people so we used one room each. Staff were wonderful and very friendly. Specially Jaqueline and Kenia who provided us with a warmth and genuine care that left us wanting to stay longer next time. I will recommend this house to a family group and people who enjoy life. The pool was so enjoyable that my wife spent all Sunday in it. However, the frogs’ fountain no longer works. I wish they will fix them since the advertisement portraits like they do. I think the pictures of the house need to be updated since the place has aged since those pictures were taken. Nevertheless, great value for the price. One last advice. The first floor rooms tend to experience road noise from the restaurant next door. The WiFi is spotty and the birds get trapped in the second floor stairs due the plastic enclosure. Overall, I’ll book this place in my next year vacation. Thank you Casa Blanca!

If you want a true Granada experience, Casa Blanca is the best place to stay! The colonial house is gorgeous and the pool was perfect for daily dips day and night. It’s right on the main street close to restaurants, bars and nightlife but also next to the stunning Cathedral and Central Park so you can pick a chill or party vibe. The amount of rooms and common areas here is perfect for large families and hanging out together. From beginning to end all the people were kind, responsive and helped us with anything needed. We will def be back!
