The Space
La Libelula offers a luxurious and comfortable retreat designed for a relaxing, stress-free vacation. Everything you need is available within the villa, so you won’t have to step outside to enjoy your stay.
Every two days, the bedrooms receive light cleaning and the beds are made, all included in the rental. For an additional fee of $40 per meal serving up to 10 people, the housekeeper can prepare lunch or dinner. You provide the groceries, and she will cook a delicious local meal for you to enjoy in the comfort of the villa. The housekeeper can also assist with grocery shopping.
All four spacious bedrooms come with air conditioning:
- The first master bedroom features a king-size bed, an en-suite bathroom with a Jacuzzi tub, a covered balcony with ocean views, a walk-in closet, and a safe box.
- The second master bedroom also has a king-size bed, an en-suite bathroom with a Jacuzzi tub, and a covered balcony overlooking the ocean.
- The third bedroom includes a queen-size bed, an en-suite bathroom, and a wrap-around balcony with ocean views.
- The fourth bedroom offers a queen-size bunk bed and an en-suite bathroom.
Upon entering the villa through the wide wooden front door, you step into a large open-plan entrance and lounge area with marble floors and fully glazed walls that provide views of the pool and beautifully landscaped garden.
The second floor features vaulted ceilings reaching 18 feet high, with fans throughout the villa to take advantage of cooling ocean breezes flowing down the valley beside the property.
There are two dining areas:
- An indoor dining space with floor-to-ceiling glazed walls.
- An outdoor dining area under a large covered patio, furnished with a wooden dining table overlooking a sunken water feature that gently flows into the pool.
The fully equipped gourmet kitchen is designed to accommodate large families or groups. It includes a breakfast island with marble countertops and custom modern wooden cabinetry.
Enjoy outdoor living with a huge kidney-shaped private pool, one of the largest in the area. The pool is surrounded by a spacious deck, an outdoor shower, and a large palm-covered rancho featuring an exterior kitchen and gas barbecue—ideal for afternoon and evening cookouts.
The lounge area is roomy and furnished with comfortable couches beside large glazed windows. There is also a media room with deep, cozy couches and a large flat-screen television.

This home is incredible. It is absolutely worth the trip. We were looking for something in mid or southern pacific coast, ultimately decided on uvita for a less touristy vibe but still close to lots of activities. It was the right choice. The home is beautiful and so inviting. Licho and his wife are incredible hosts. We had them cook almost every meal. Everything was delicious! It was very appreciated because we were so tired at the end of each day! There is a waterfall 5 minutes away with great jumping platforms. There are delicious restaurants near by, and the beach was about 7 minute drive. There was tons of wildfire in the backyard, with plenty of visits from monkeys. We hooked everything through Licho including our tours, rental car, and ride to and from SJO. You can do great excursions from town which is a 5 minute drive. If we’re ever back in Costa Rica we would absolutely stay here again!

11 out of 10 - There is nothing I can add that hasn’t already been covered in every review. But I do want to acknowledge the on-site caretaker, Licho, who, along with his wife, Darling, were some of the warmest, friendliest, and hospitable people you will meet anywhere. And I will say that this property was one of the highlights of my family’s week in CR. We hope to come back again in the near future. Thank you, Nicolas, for making your villa available!

This is a luxury villa. For two families it was absolutely perfect. The pool is impeccable and the space set up around it are attention to detail, comfortable, beautiful from every angle and well thought out. We all could relax around the pool together or separately and have space in gorgeous surroundings. House also fantastic and so many different eating areas :")

We had a wonderful vacation! The house was beautiful, clean, and perfect for our two families. The pool area was our favorite! Licho and his wife Darling were so helpful and her cooking was delicious. Definitely a must stay in Uvita!

I am at a loss for words which is usually not the case. This house was amazing! The property was even more beautiful than the pictures. Nikolas was an amazing host but even better was Licho the caretaker of the property. Licho was incredibly helpful and just awesome, it was literally like having your own personal event and vacation planner just a stone's throw away. He coordinated, massages, ATV excursions, Zip-lines, meals and much much more. We truly don't have enough words to describe how awesome Licho is. I have been to many Latin American countries in my travels, without a doubt Costa Rica is #1, especially this particular area. If you are on the fence about planning your trip, do not wait to grab this listing, you will not be disappointed. There is soooo much to do I am already planning another trip to Nik's in the next couple of years. Also did I mention that Costa Rica is breathtaking and extremely clean. America could take a few pointers from them. Enjoy!!!

The house and grounds were beautiful and exactly as we expected. The kitchen was well equipped with everything we needed to cook meals. We loved the variety of seating options outside the house to enjoy the view and the pool. The howler monkeys were active early each morning, so glad we had a sound machine for our kids. Incredible wildlife, in addition to the monkeys we saw birds, lizards, and even a land crab from the backyard.

Meilleure place! Je recommande à n’importe qui. Licho est un amour, super disponible et Nicolas super gentil! La villa est super propre et la vue magnifique. Nécessite absolument 4x4! Si vous hésitiez, c’est le airbnb à prendre!

A truly magical spot. Howler monkeys, toucans, amazing birds and cities of dragon flies in the evening. Having Licho and his family on-site was beyond helpful and Darlings dinners were lovely. There are so many outdoor spots to enjoy the surroundings that it is hard to leave but when you do, Uvita has some incredible experiences to offer. We walked to the Uvita waterfall (about 2.3 km) and did the Caño Island snorkelling tour as well as a trip to the Whales Tail as the tide went out. We were there for 6 nights and barely scratched the surface. All 10 of us (2 families) could not give high enough reviews to Dragonfly House. Book it!
