The Space
Situated on a hillside in Mal Pais, Justin's Horizon commands breathtaking views across the Nicoya Peninsula and the beaches of Mal Pais, Playa Carmen, and Santa Teresa. With spectacular 180-degree vistas, it provides a perfect retreat to unwind and recharge.
Built in 2006, this spacious property comfortably accommodates four guests. The two master bedrooms are located at opposite ends of the house, each outfitted with high-quality hotel linens. Every bedroom includes a private en-suite bathroom featuring a full-size walk-in shower and a generous supply of plush towels.
Both bedrooms open directly onto the veranda, offering private seating areas where you can slowly awaken to ocean views and observe the variety of birds visiting the lush gardens.
The kitchen and dining area occupy the large central portion of the home, allowing the chef to remain part of the gathering. The kitchen is fully equipped for preparing meals, although many guests prefer to explore the local dining scene. The impressive dining table seats eight, providing ample space for friends or family.
For added convenience, a private chef or cook can be arranged, allowing you to relax and enjoy your stay without worrying about meal preparation.
Outdoor Amenities
The expansive veranda is where most of your time will be spent. Its thoughtful layout offers both social spaces and quiet corners, making it ideal for relaxation or group activities. It’s also a perfect spot for yoga or Pilates, with private lessons available at the house upon request.
The swimming pool features an infinity edge, inviting you to unwind while taking in stunning views of the jungle below and the vast Pacific Ocean beyond. Depending on the season, you may witness migrating humpback whales. Howler and capuchin monkeys frequently visit the area, adding to the natural charm. The veranda is also a wonderful place to enjoy a cocktail at sunset, as there is always something captivating to observe.
After a day of surfing, hiking, or exploring on an ATV safari, soothe your muscles in the outdoor Jacuzzi. Alternatively, you can book a session with one of our carefully selected, professional masseuses to relieve any tension or simply enhance your well-being.
Adjacent to the pool, a small rancho provides shade from the sun, complete with a refrigerator stocked for your favorite drinks. There is also an additional guest bathroom and changing area conveniently located by the pool.
Privacy and Security

Justin's Horizon is reached by a private road. Full directions and the gate code will be provided prior to arrival. A four-wheel-drive vehicle, such as an ATV or car, is necessary to access the property.

This house is amazing! The view needs to be seen to be believed. Very good setup and comfortable for 4 people. Smaller bed in 2nd bedroom is a little uncomfortable, but King had plenty of room. Pool area is great and is where we enjoyed morning coffee and every sunset while we were there. Had minor issues with WiFi and AC remote but both were remedied very quickly. Host was always available for anything you needed. Love the Malpais/Santa Teresa area and everything it has to explore. Highly recommend and will definitely come back!

Unbelievably stunning. Really do need a 4x4 to access the property. Laundry access was a huge bonus and housekeeping was so very attentive. Team was ultra responsive and I would recommend 10/10

We couldn’t have loved this place more ! The house and view are stunningly beautiful. We watched sunset from the pool almost every night. The hosts were very quick to respond to questions and also helped us arrange ATVs for a couple days. We will definitely stay here again the next time we are in the area. The drive up and down the hill is well worth the effort.

Die Bilder von der Unterkunft versprechen schon viel, aber wenn du da bist: wow, ist es absolut unglaublich! Es ist sehr gross, offen und hell. Sauber und extrem gut ausgestattet. Die Betten sind top. Es ist super privat! Der Aussenbereich ist fantastisch, der Pool ist wunderbar und die Aussicht ein Traum! Du wirst die schönsten Sonnenuntergänge sehen, Besuch von Wildtieren und vielen Vögeln haben. Ein 4x4 ist drigend notwendig, du fährst weit und steil den Hügel hinauf.

This property took my breath away! The view is even better in person! We had planned to spend every day at the beach, but found it difficult to walk away from the pool view. The house is beautiful too and had everything we needed to eat in & live in luxury. The host helped arrange ATV’s for us and they were very helpful getting up and down the hill. Overall, our experience was 10/10!

Absolutely breathtaking location! The pics are 100% accurate & you really can't even appreciate the view until you are there in person - incredible! Sham & Adi were fantastic communicators & were very responsive. They either recommended or helped us to book: ATV tour; in-shore fishing trip with a local fisherman (which was amazing - we caught yellow fin, bonita, & witnessed a shark steal one of our fish that we were reeling in); a chef that came to the house & made an incredible meal; and zip-line. All of these activities were quickly arranged by Sham & all were fantastic & reasonably priced. The dirt/rock road up to the property is no joke & not suited for walking down to the main area in Santa Teresa (about a 5-10 min drive from house). This property is about a 4 hr drive from the Liberia airport - it is a peaceful & easy drive. Plenty of places to eat & markets in Santa Teresa. The couple that lives in a nearby house were super nice & accommodating. Will stay again! *****
