Beautiful home with a great host. Would stay here again

I will do my best to stay here each time I visit Uvita. The place was perfect and we had an amazing stay. Highly recommend to anyone looking for the proper James Bond mansion on the mountain vibe. Kid friendly, lots of wildlife, excellent garbage management. AC in each bedroom. We were a full house and all extremely comfortable. Individual bedrooms are extremely private and quiet. Only sound is the jungle. Access road is paved all the way to the private driveway, 4-wheel will be helpful for the private drive but 2-wheel drive is no problem. 5 star in every category.

Villa Aracari was an incredible sanctuary for our family to have a relaxing and fun week in the jungle but near the coast and beaches. The house is spectacular in size, design details, views, and comfort. I think the house surpassed the expectations set in the photos. The kitchen was extremely well stocked with cooking utensils, serving dishes and even had a rice cooker. Having laundry available was a huge asset. All 4 bedrooms were spacious with their own bathrooms. The deck area provided space for both sunning and shade. The dining room table seats up to 10. We saw toucans and monkeys from the deck. A few practical things: 1. The house is approx 10 mins up in the hills from the beach road and then another 5 mins to Uvita and its beaches. We found this distance perfectly fine and meant we were truly in the jungle. 2. You def need a 4x4 to get up the hill 3. It rained more in Dec than we expected, but we loved the afternoon rains. The house is amazing, going up the hill is tricky and you definitely need a 4wd . But Joel provide us a solution to leave our car over his neighbors house . Other than that the place was perfect for all of us.

This was a beautiful location, high up in the rainforest with long distance sea views. We loved staying here and would highly recommend it. The whole house was well equipped and Joel’s recommendation of Chef Paige made the stay even more special. We did only have hot water in the evenings and lost water all together for about 24 hours but that’s part of being in such an unspoiled location as the water comes from a natural spring. Joel was very responsive and had people out to fix things asap. We would absolutely come back to this villa and the Uvita area again.
