Just 60 steps from the beach, this traditional 1-bedroom bungalow in Osa pairs tropical open-air living with a king bed, air conditioning, Starlink Wi-Fi, and a private gated yard.
The Space
Nestled in the heart of Rocas de Amancio, this traditional 40-year-old home sits just 60 steps from the sand of one of Costa Rica’s most beautiful beaches. Surrounded by tropical gardens, the open-air design lets you wake to the sounds of the surf and jungle.
The approximately 600-square-foot bungalow combines authentic Costa Rican character with modern comforts, including:
- High-speed Starlink internet with speeds of approximately 150 Mbps.
- Battery backup to keep the Wi-Fi running during the region’s frequent power outages.
- Air conditioning in the bedroom and den.
- A king-size bed in the bedroom.
- A 65-inch television in the den.
- A full-size Whirlpool washer and dryer.
- A covered carport behind an automatic gate.
- A private, gated yard.
Walkthrough and aerial videos are available on YouTube.
Kitchen
The well-equipped kitchen includes tools selected for everyday cooking, such as:
- An oversized refrigerator.
- A Vitamix blender.
- A two-burner gas cooktop.
- Stainless steel cookware.
- A toaster oven.
The kitchen does not include a full-size oven or microwave.
Outdoor Shower
After a day at the beach, rinse off in the Balinese stone outdoor shower.
Guest Access
Guests have exclusive use of the entire bungalow, covered carport, and private gated yard. The automatic gate controller makes arrival simple, allowing you to access the property and settle in at your own pace.
Other Things to Note
Nature and Character
This is a traditional 40-year-old tropical home. Although the windows have screens, the open-air layout keeps you close to nature. You can expect spectacular bird calls and may even spot a local agouti.
A detailed house booklet provides guidance about local life and tips for keeping the home as free of critters as possible. Even so, geckos, ants, and other insects may occasionally visit.
Power
The internet has a battery backup, but the garage gate operates electrically. Instructions for manual operation are provided so that a local power outage does not delay you.
The Neighborhood
Rocas de Amancio is a hidden gem where you will often have the beach largely to yourself. When the surf is strong, visit the blowhole, or take the short hike to Poza Azul waterfall.
An aerial video of the area is available on YouTube.
Dining
Mariscos Amancio, the seafood restaurant next door, is a local favorite and a convenient option when you prefer not to cook.

This was the perfect spot for us for our stay in Dominicalito. Very close to the Dominical shops, restaurants, and beaches. Rocas de Amancio was spectacular to see! A very unique area in Costa Rica. We toured Manuel Antonio, went Nauyaca Falls, and Poza Azul. All very close. Our favorite beach was Playa Linda also close. The space was authentic tico style and we loved it! Next door the restaurant Mariscos Amancio was the best food we have had in Costa Rica.. Highly recommend Ann’s place if you’re in the area.

This is our second time staying here. Cozy house and we loved having the beach right there and the restaurant walking distance. Beautiful bird sounds in the morning. We only stayed for one night on our way to the Osa so we didn’t cook but the kitchen is great and well stocked if you are staying longer!

The accommodation offered by Anne is easy to access, secure, very functional and superbly equipped, and comfortable (bedding, fan, air conditioning, bath towels, etc.). It is close to the pretty little beach of Dominicalito, while also having the green space of a nice garden. Plus, it's very nicely decorated and has a lot of charm. Check-in is easy, and communication with Anne is very smooth, even without meeting her. I won't look for any other place than this one if I come back to Dominical.

This is my second stay there and I enjoyed it just as much as the first. It’s so nice to be able to walk down the little road right to the beach for Sunset. This house is adorable and so well put together. It has the most comfortable bed and towels that I may have ever found at an Airbnb. I would highly recommend this place!

This little home was so amazing for our 1st Costa Rica experience! The house was exactly as shown in pictures, perfect for the 2 of us. When we first arrived I kind of wondered what we would do with our time, but that was never an issue. Our favorite thing was sitting on the back patio with a snack and drink and watching and listening to all the nature! Iguanas, geckos, so many birds, agouti. We only used the outdoor shower for our 5 days at the house. Despite the close neighbors, the house is so private! We took the activity recommendations and all were fantastic. Surfing, Cafe Don Emilio coffee tour, nearby waterfall which we hiked to. We had a fantastic experience here and I’ve already recommended this house to others looking for a Costa Rica trip. Thanks Ann for the excellent communication and for sharing your home!

It’s rare to stay on the ocean side of the highway around here and this place was absolutely charming! I’ll definitely be back! It’s better than the photos!

Great four night stay (we extended a night because it was so cool and such a livable space). Walk (2 mins) to an amazing sunset beach location -- and a bit further to a surf beach. Ideally situated between Playas Dominical and Dominicalito. Very private. The outdoor shower was excellent-- we used it more than the inside shower. Totally secure parking via remote operated gate, and the space had a tall cover perfect for protecting the car and surf boards from the hot sun. The kitchen appliances were all high-end--as well as the washer and dryer. ACs for the bedroom and TV/living room, otherwise high-powered ceiling fans in the kitchen dining areas were enough. A cozy, 'upscale rustic/ traditional Tico' space, but very efficiently laid out with everything you need. The garden areas front and back are really beautiful as well. A great visit, and we'll be back!
