The Space

Enjoy the peaceful and expansive Tambor beach just steps from this beachfront villa, situated within the gated community of Los Delfines Golf and Country Club. Relax on your balcony or by the pool while watching the sunrise over the bay, listening to the waves, feeling the ocean breeze, and smelling the fresh sea air. You may also hear howler monkeys and scarlet macaws nearby.

The living room and master bedroom feature floor-to-ceiling windows and sliding doors that offer stunning views of the pool, beach, and ocean.

This villa is located in the Bayside area of Los Delfines, one of eight homes arranged in a horseshoe shape around the pool, all facing the beach. Contrary to some listings, the beach is visible and accessible directly from the house and patio.

The house is beautifully furnished with local wood pieces and decorations. The owner, an artist, has displayed some of her artwork throughout the villa. Each room is equipped with air conditioning units and large ceiling fans, and the entire home has fiber optic WiFi.

Downstairs offers an open floor plan combining a spacious dining and living area with a custom kitchen featuring wood cabinets, quartz countertops, and new appliances. An alcove off the living room includes a semi-private queen-size daybed with its own full bathroom.

The dining table seats eight, and the living room has comfortable leather seating. Two sliding doors open to a patio furnished with reclining lounge chairs, a table and chairs for six, a large live-wood table seating up to eight, and a propane barbecue grill. A hammock hangs under the palm trees on the beach, perfect for relaxing with a book or taking a nap.

Upstairs, beyond a small yoga and meditation area, are three bedrooms, each with an ensuite bathroom and floor-to-ceiling windows and sliding glass doors. The master suite features a king-size bed, a large bathroom with ocean views from the shower, and glass sliding doors opening to a spacious balcony that wraps around two sides of the room. From here, enjoy fantastic views of the pool and ocean while feeling the cool breeze and watching scarlet macaws fly by.

The other two bedrooms each have queen-size beds and ensuite bathrooms. One offers ocean views, while the other overlooks the mountains.

Location and Beach

This villa sits on a vast, four-mile stretch of soft black sand beach with a gentle slope, ideal for walking and swimming. While the bay location is not suited for surfing, it provides excellent conditions for swimming.

The pool is just about 15 steps from the patio and is shared with only seven other houses.

Additional Information

Los Delfines is a gated community accessible only to residents and their guests. The golf course is open to the public for a fee.

There is a well-stocked convenience store inside the community, with a larger store in the nearby town of Tambor. Bigger grocery stores are located about 25 minutes away in Cóbano.

For dining options, a charming open-air restaurant is just a short walk across the park next to the house, offering great food and friendly service.

The villa is conveniently located near one of Costa Rica’s finest golf courses, just a short walk within the community.

Travel time from San José is approximately 3 to 4 hours by car and ferry, or a 30-minute flight on a small propeller plane to Cóbano, which is 25 minutes from the property.
