The Space

This private, clean, and comfortable Beach Casita offers a tranquil and secure retreat with numerous screened windows fitted with security bars. It features a well-equipped kitchen, fast WiFi with a dedicated router, a warm water shower, ceiling and wall fans, and is surrounded by organic gardens enclosed by a volcanic stone wall. The casita is just a step away from the longest stretch of sandy beach, providing beautiful views of the lake and volcano.

The house includes one bedroom with a double bed, quality bedding, and extra pillows. The interior boasts all-wood furniture, many shelves, and ceramic tiled floors throughout. The lounge area contains a rocking chair or hammock, tables, a desk, and stools. The kitchen is equipped with a gas stove top, blender, coffee percolator, toaster, and all necessary kitchenware. Basic supplies such as oil, salt, pepper, and some spices are provided. Guests also have access to complimentary filtered mineral spring water sourced from Volcano Maderas.

Guests are invited to tour the organic gardens and sample seasonal produce, herbs, and coconuts. Organic eggs from the resident ginger chickens may also be available.

Location

Centrally located on the paved Main Road in Santa Cruz, the casita is close to produce stalls, shops, and restaurants. It offers easy access to local activities and tours, including volcano hikes, beach horseback rides to mineral springs, kayaking in the River Istiam Wildlife Refuge, and visits to an organic coffee cooperative, petroglyphs, zoomorphic statues, a pre-Columbian museum, and a butterfly sanctuary.

Guest Access

Guests have exclusive access to the Beach Casita, gardens, and outdoor rancho area. Use of beach towels, hammocks, and lounge chairs is complimentary. The property is strictly for guests only, and all visitors must be arranged in advance.

Additional Information

A minimum stay of three nights is required, though a week is recommended to fully enjoy the island’s pace and explore the surroundings.

Your reservation contributes directly to local beach and road clean-up projects, supporting community efforts. The host appreciates guests’ support of local educational, environmental, and health initiatives involving neighborhood children and teachers.
