The Barra de Santiago area is one of the most beautiful regions of El Salvador, with miles of protected mangroves and a small fishing village nearby.

The Space

Located on the beach near Barra de Santiago, the home offers comfortable indoor-outdoor living. Staff will welcome you upon arrival and remain available to prepare meals, provide daily housekeeping, and help make your stay relaxing and memorable.

Designed to capture the sea breezes and the sound of crashing waves, the house includes hammocks and a daybed for reading or afternoon naps. Colorful Talavera tilework accents the open kitchen and spacious bathrooms.

The large palapa beside the pool includes:

• Additional hammocks
• A dining table for 20 guests
• An outdoor barbecue kitchen
• Two bathrooms with toilets
• Outdoor showers

Unlike many narrow beachfront properties, this home sits on a property approximately four times wider than typical beach lots and offers more than 90 meters of beachfront. The spacious setting ensures that you will not feel cramped or enclosed.

The property extends from the beach to the mangroves across 3.5 manzanas, or approximately 6 acres. It is planted with coconut, mango, papaya, jocote, and citrus trees, along with ornamental plants and trees for you to explore. Grassy areas provide room for soccer, bocce, and other outdoor games.

Bedrooms and Bedding

• The spacious master bedroom has an ocean view, a king bed, and a full bathroom. There is room for an additional single bed or floor mattresses if needed.
• Two additional bedrooms in the main house have flexible bedding arrangements. Each can be configured with one king bed or two or three single beds, with space for a floor mattress. These bedrooms share a bathroom.
• Two newer bedrooms adjoining the main house each contain four single beds, space for two additional floor mattresses, and a private full bathroom. Single beds can also be combined into king beds as needed.

All bedrooms have air conditioning and luxury bedding for comfortable sleeping.

Staff and Services

Dina, sometimes accompanied by her daughter Daniela, will welcome you and help make your stay enjoyable. In addition to providing daily housekeeping, they are excellent cooks and recently completed two years of culinary school in San Salvador.

Although cooking services are not required, guests are strongly encouraged to let Dina prepare meals. You may purchase groceries yourself, or the staff can shop for you for a small fee.

Dina’s son, Manuel, is also available as a driver for hire for excursions.

Roberto Carlos lives on the property as caretaker and provides maintenance and security. He maintains the pool and gardens and is also a skilled builder and carpenter. Roberto completed most of the home’s renovations, built the palapa, and constructed nearly all of the furniture and cabinetry.

Dina and Roberto’s services are included in the rental. Guests are asked to tip them if they are pleased with the service. Additional details will be provided after the reservation is confirmed.

Guest Access

Guests have access to the entire property except for the storage areas and the caretaker’s house.
