Ricardo’s place was perfect for our family our four. Great location. Close to everything. I would absolutely recommend this home to anyone looking for a peaceful stay in Antigua. My husband and I enjoyed our morning cup of coffee looking out to one of the volcanoes. The showers were hot and the entire home was clean and decorated with so much character. Rent this place! You won’t regret it!

Our family of three loved Ricardo’s place! The home perfectly matched the description and was peaceful and secluded at the back of the central, shared courtyard. After three and a half weeks, we felt like we were living in a home away from home, and our kid loved playing in the courtyard. Ricardo is so fast at communicating and so friendly. We had everything we needed during our stay and all of our questions and requests were taken care of. We also loved having Maria babysit our son on a few occasions, and they had so much fun together. The location is also superb. It’s super walkable to all the main attractions in Antigua, Parque Central, Arco de Santa Catalina, etc. This was our fourth and fifth visit to Antigua, and we will be back. Muchas gracias, Ricardo!

Great place to stay!!

Amazing location. Close to everthing. Very cozy home

This apartment is gorgeous, spacious, clean, and perfectly located in Antigua. Staying here felt like experiencing a piece of history. The private and shared courtyards were lovely and private. The beds were comfortable. The decorations were so beautiful.

El Solar is incredibly gorgeous. It’s an absolute gem in Antigua at an unmissable price. We slept 6 (4 adults and 2 kids) comfortably. The location can’t be beat with popular restaurants on all sides, access to boutique shopping, and walking distance to the main square. The only thing of note is that the loft room gets super hot, but it’s typical of the area. We were provided with extra fans. 10/10 would stay here again.

El Solar was a great location for our week stay in Antigua, exactly where you want to be to access the amazing architecture, food and culture. The staff was often present every day, in case we had any questions or needs. The outdoor courtyard was peaceful and private, you could forget you were in the center of town. Bedrooms were spacious and clean. The only thing was that we would maybe have cooked a meal or two, though there was no oil or salt to make it simple. We also felt the pillows could have been more comfortable. Otherwise, it was perfect!

We had a wonderful stay at the house. It has a quaint patio and lots of character inside. The house is perfectly located and within walking distance of the major sites. The amenities at the house are definitely older, but worked just fine. The staff were helpful and waiting for us outside the property when we arrived to help us with our luggage. The place was quiet, and was located right next to one of the most recommended restaurants in Antigua. The only room for improvement would be to have air conditioning in the bedrooms or larger area fans - very small portable fans were provided, but did not cool the room down much. We would certainly come back to this house as it had a lot of charm and was centrally located.
