Enjoy a private retreat in Santa Teresa, Costa Rica, set on a lush hillside with breathtaking ocean views. This newly built three-bedroom villa combines modern comfort, tranquility, and the surrounding natural beauty.
Located on a spacious, private property, the villa provides an ideal setting for relaxation, romantic getaways, family vacations, and adventures with friends.
The Space
The villa’s ocean-view rooms blend contemporary elegance with the beauty of the jungle. Panoramic sliding glass doors frame views of the world-class surf breaks at Playa Carmen, extending south toward Mal País.
Every bedroom opens onto the balcony, where you can enjoy morning coffee or evening cocktails while watching the waves and listening to the sounds of the jungle. Plush beds and high-quality linens provide a comfortable night’s sleep accompanied by the soothing sounds of the ocean.
Bedrooms
- One suite with a king-size bed.
- One suite with a queen-size bed and built-in desk.
- One master suite with a king-size bed and twin XL daybed. Please let us know in advance if you would like the twin bed prepared for a guest.
- Every suite includes air conditioning and a ceiling fan.

Guest Access
The entire home is available for your use throughout your stay.
The garage and laundry room are not accessible to guests. The maid uses the laundry room, but laundry service is available for $10 per load.
Important Information
- A four-wheel-drive vehicle or all-terrain vehicle is required to reach the house because the road is very steep. Having one is also helpful for exploring the surrounding area.
- The beach is approximately a 15-minute walk away, although the return journey uphill is steep.
- Parties, gatherings, and events of any kind must be disclosed to and approved by the host. The villa has a zero-tolerance policy, and violations may result in the loss of your reservation. Breaking the house rules—including hosting unauthorized parties, having unregistered guests, smoking, or engaging in illegal activity—may lead to immediate termination of the reservation without a refund.
- The villa is built on a mountain, so guests are fully responsible for young children, especially those under 10 years old.
- Power, internet, and water service occasionally go out in town. These interruptions are beyond our control. We do our best to maintain backup options, but service cannot be guaranteed. These outages are part of jungle life, and everyone in town experiences them from time to time.
Jungle Environment
This is a jungle setting, so encounters with insects, geckos, monkeys, lizards, and other wildlife are to be expected. It is impossible to keep every bug or jungle creature out of the house at all times, and we cannot control the presence of wildlife or the sounds they make.
If you are uncomfortable around bugs or wildlife, please consider this carefully before booking the villa or visiting Santa Teresa.

We stayed with family of 5 (2 14yo and a 21yo girl). The Villa is very private, jungle vibes, serene, fantastic views over the bay. We stayed 10days (extended after 5days for another 5days). Villa was kept clean by cleaning lady every other day (except in weekend). Would absolutely book same place when back in Santa Teresa. Meghan excellent host, as Siggi as local one as well. Highly recommended.

Amazing house — even more beautiful than the pictures, and spotlessly clean, comfortable, and quiet. We've stayed in Santa Teresa multiple times, and the noise in town can be a lot. Every morning and evening here felt like our own little oasis. One note on walkability: it's 100% walkable. We parked on arrival and didn't touch the car until checkout a week later. That said, we're an active family and the hill is no joke. ATVs would help, but we like a few cocktails at the beach and in town, so that wasn't an option. "You guys ready for The Climb?" became our running joke. But once you're up, the amazing pool and the best master shower I've ever seen are waiting — I can now say I'm comfortable being naked in front of monkeys hopping tree to tree. Surreal. Communication was some of the best I've had with a host, and the cleaning staff is top notch. If you're still reading this… stop. Just book it already!

Good morning Megan, thank you for the lovely stay, great communication and wonderful suggestions. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at your Villa Lila! Wow, this is truly a one of kind property in Santa Teresa - as close to the beach and restaurants as needed, yet a private peaceful setting. We appreciated the fruit bowl ... mangoes and papaya were amazing. We enjoyed the coffee as well, however we didn't master brewing it the way the CR's are able ;). This was our second stay at Megan’s place and the pictures online doesn’t do this place justice. It’s truly amazing. Close by town to visit the restaurants / beach and some hikes yet far away enough to truly relax.

We had an all-around perfect stay! The house is beautiful, extremely clean, and furnished with a lot of love for detail. There is really nothing missing – everything you could ask for is available. Communication with Megan and Siggi was excellent: prompt, friendly, and straightforward. You feel well looked after from the beginning. The pool and the stunning views are an absolute highlight – simply fantastic! It really couldn't have been better. We will be happy to come back!

We had a wonderful stay at this villa, which is even better in person than in the photos. The house is beautiful, very pleasant to stay in, and perfectly maintained. We were hosted very well by Siggi, who gave us all the information we needed as soon as we arrived. Throughout the stay, communication was very easy: we could contact them quickly, and they were always very responsive and proactive. The housekeeper comes every other day, which makes the stay even more enjoyable. The location is great. As indicated in the listing, a 4x4 or quad bike is required to access the villa, but it is still within reasonable distance of the city. It is even possible to walk there (good physical fitness recommended due to the slope). We recommend this villa without hesitation.

We’ve stayed in Santa for 4 years in a row and this has been our absolute favorite property. The location is prime, the water is drinkable and the view is breathtaking! I couldn’t have asked for a better experience with the host either. Will come back 10/10 ❤️

Absolutely stunning home! The view is WAY better than the pictures show and the house is as great in person as it was on pictures. Communication from the hosts was perfect. The house was spotless, the pool was nice and clean, the beds extremely comfy, the bathrooms perfect, yoga mats and kettle bells, beautiful fruit basket on arrival, fridge with ice and filtered water. Even with 4 people, you each have your quarters on entirely ends of the house, each have a balcony from the bedroom with an amazing view of the ocean. The 3rd bedroom is on it's own in the center of the other 2 but still with an ocean view and amazing for a 3rd bedroom. Will look to rent again on return to Santa Teresa!
