The Space
Staying at Casa Violeta is more than just booking a luxury villa—it’s about immersing yourself in an expertly curated experience. The villa is decorated with antiques collected from across the country, custom ceramics from San Juan del Oriente, and contemporary art by Nicaraguan artists. The carefully selected pieces add cultural depth and character, celebrating local craftsmanship.
Relax in the courtyard featuring a custom-tiled pool surrounded by lush tropical plants under open skies. The open kitchen, living, and dining areas form a shaded peristyle that catches breezes from Lake Nicaragua and offers vibrant views. Locally crafted black, gray, and white tiles create bold patterns complemented by colorful blankets, blending geometric design with natural tropical elements.
From the terrace, enjoy your morning coffee while gazing south toward Mombacho volcano, which enriches Granada’s soil. In the evening, watch the sunset and admire the northern view of Our Lady of the Consumption, the striking canary-yellow cathedral dominating the skyline.
Location and Accessibility
Casa Violeta is accessed via a private gated entrance on Banana Avenue and includes private car parking. Despite this, the villa is centrally located just four and a half blocks from the central square, placing Granada’s main attractions within easy walking distance.
Accommodations
The villa comfortably sleeps six guests across three bedrooms. Each bedroom features a king-sized bed that can be converted into two twin beds upon request. All bedrooms are equipped with air conditioning (please see the environmental note below).
The kitchen is fully equipped, though it does not include an oven or microwave.
Important Notes
- Children should be at least five years old to stay due to the open staircase and courtyard.
- Pool cleaning and electricity usage are included in the reservation price, which is not always standard in Granada.
- Guests receive personalized travel recommendations and can arrange additional services such as babysitting, private yoga sessions, massages, cooking classes, and private photoshoots upon request.
Guest Access
A property manager will greet guests upon arrival to hand over keys and provide a house orientation. The manager is available to assist with any issues during the stay. Guests can also contact the owners directly for help arranging extra experiences.
Environmental Commitment
Casa Violeta is dedicated to environmental responsibility while maintaining guest comfort. Guests are kindly asked to turn off fans, lights, and air conditioning units when not in use.

Our stay was wonderful! The house was absolutely beautiful and looked exactly like the photos. It was very clean, and the bathrooms were spotless, which we really appreciated. The location was also very convenient, as it was close to the main restaurants, making it easy to get around and enjoy the area. We also took the host’s recommendation for an in-home massage, and it was exceptional—definitely one of the highlights of our trip. The only minor issues were that the air conditioning was a little inconsistent at times, and the neighborhood on the way to the house felt a bit rough at first. However, once we arrived at the property, we felt completely comfortable and safe. Overall, we had a fantastic experience and would highly recommend this home to anyone looking for a beautiful, clean, and comfortable place to stay.

Beautiful home with stunning architecture and a truly special atmosphere. The outdoor kitchen was fantastic, the rooms were spacious, and the daily housekeeping was a nice surprise. A huge thank you to Karina, who was incredibly kind, responsive, and made everything seamless. That said, I wouldn’t recommend this home for families with young children. The bedrooms are separated by an open-air space, so checking on kids at night means walking outside across the house. The 15-minute walk to town is manageable for adults but difficult with kids, especially with horse manure, dead animals along the road, and several intoxicated locals at night. One evening my husband and I almost intervened as a young woman was being harassed, which made the walk feel uncomfortable after dark. The home could benefit from a bit more maintenance and deeper cleaning to match its beauty. Overall, great for couples, groups of friends or adults looking for a unique and stylish place to stay. Our family loved our stay at Casa Violeta! The design and aesthetic are a 10/10—every detail is beautiful. The location is ideal, just a 5–10 minute walk to Granada’s main square. The private courtyard and plunge pool were a favorite. After hot days exploring, it was the perfect place to cool off and recharge. The beds were comfortably firm, each with both a soft and firm pillow, and there were plenty of towels. The views were wonderful. The host’s recommendations truly made our trip. Garden Café, Isletas El Espino, Alberto as our tour guide, and Manuel for a massage helped create the perfect first visit to Granada. One note: you’ll hear roosters in the morning, which we loved because it added to the authentic experience. If you’re a light sleeper, maybe bring earplugs. Thank you for helping make this a magical trip for our family. We can’t wait to stay at Casa Violeta again!

Casa Violeta was truly one of the highlights of our trip to Nicaragua. The house is even more beautiful in person, every detail feels intentional, from the architecture and colorful interiors to the gorgeous courtyard and pool. It has so much character and manages to feel both incredibly stylish and completely relaxing. The location was perfect for exploring Granada, while still feeling like a private little oasis to come home to. We especially loved being able to enjoy slow mornings, relax by the pool, and even organize massages at the house. It was the perfect home base for our time in Granada and made the entire experience feel extra special. Casa Violeta is the kind of place you genuinely don’t want to leave. We would absolutely stay here again and recommend it to anyone looking for a memorable, beautifully designed stay in Granada.

Katalina’s home is absolutely stunning! It was everything I had imagined and hoped it would be— and somehow even more! The design is incredible, such elegance and comfort, the ambience day or night, rain or shine, just oozes luxury vacation vibes. All of the little touches were appreciated— from the Nicaraguan art, super high speed fans, each hanging light and potted plant, to the friendly staff, local recommendations and even Spotify playlists provided to enjoy on the Bluetooth speaker. I can’t wait to come back! Also I’ll mention that we never once felt the need for a car or taxi, we walked to the lakefront pier, all around the centre of town in every direction and not only felt safe but thoroughly enjoyed sightseeing, all of the great restaurants, and walking home after. If you’re even considering another place to stay— don’t! THIS is the best spot in Granada!
