The Space
Casa Circo was custom-built in 2020 as our family home, where we lived for four years with our young boys and rescue dogs. We are now pleased to welcome visitors to enjoy the home as much as our family has. We can also connect you with a local dog rescue if you are interested in bringing a dog home with you. We have three rescue dogs ourselves.
Casa Circo offers an indoor-outdoor living experience, with as many outdoor seating and play areas as indoor spaces. Guests can enjoy:
- Heated or cooled pool
- Outdoor tables and couches
- Multiple patios
- Fully fenced play area for children and adults
- Air conditioning with a mini-split unit in each main space
- Large smart television
- Comfortable couch
- Full kitchen with an extra-large counter
- Colorful, playful decor
The home is designed to be as child- and pet-friendly as possible, with plenty of concrete surfaces and stain-resistant furnishings. Our goal is for you to relax and enjoy your stay.
A separate office includes two desk spaces, air conditioning, a fan, and views. It is possible to work while enjoying your vacation.
Bedrooms and Bathrooms
The primary bedroom is located on the upper level and features:
- Large closet
- Walk-in shower
- Double sink
- Views of the surrounding area
- Brand-new king-size mattress
- Private balcony with a daybed overlooking Cerritos
The two smaller bedrooms open directly onto the pool deck and extended patio. They share a bathroom with a bathtub. The tub is suitable for a shallow bath for children, as the water supply does not support filling it completely. Both rooms have ample closet space.
Sleeping arrangements include:
- One bedroom with a brand-new queen-size mattress
- One bedroom with a bunk bed featuring a full-size bed on the bottom and a twin-size bed on top
- Small couch that converts into an additional twin bed
Work and Laundry Facilities
Guests have access to a full-size front-loading washer and dryer. Please shake off sand before placing items in the machines.
A hot-water circulator is also installed.
Outdoor and Pool Safety
The pool does not have a gate. The railing is built in a local horizontal style and does not meet standard safety spacing requirements. Please consider this carefully when traveling with small children. Guests are responsible for safety during their stay.
Property Details
The property occupies half an acre.
The garage is locked and reserved for the owners’ use.
A separate casita is located at the end of the property. It is completely separate from the main home and has:
- A separate gated entrance
- A fully enclosed fence
- No shared spaces with the main house
The casita can be seen in the aerial photograph. Guests or friends may occasionally stay there during your visit. If you are interested in renting the casita for additional space and sleeping arrangements, please inquire.
The magic of Baja California Sur lies partly in its challenges. Leaving behind the conveniences and expectations of home allows you to slow down, appreciate what is truly important, and experience rural Mexico as it is rather than as you expect it to be.
Guest Access
Guests have access to the entire home and property, except for the locked garage, which is reserved for the owners’ use.
Important Information About the Area
We believe in setting realistic expectations for every guest. Please review the following details before booking.
- Driving at night can be dangerous because of cows on the roads and vehicles without headlights. Please drive slowly; these are not bandits.
- Most roads away from the main highway are unpaved, and roads throughout the area may have potholes and significant bumps.
- Many roads do not have street names, and homes may not have formal addresses. Please use the provided maps and conduct some research before arrival.
- Many businesses close around 9:00 p.m., sometimes referred to locally as “Baja midnight.”
- Buildings may leak during rain, and water can enter beneath doors depending on the amount of rainfall.
- The Cerritos area is a desert environment with ongoing development. You may encounter mice, lizards and gecko droppings, flies, gnats, ants, scorpions, mosquitoes, or, rarely, snakes.
- Dust is always present, regardless of how much we clean.
- Construction is rapidly expanding throughout the Cerritos area, so you may see or hear construction in the distance.
- The area is considered safe, but petty theft does occur. Please keep personal electronics out of sight when you are away from the home.
- We recommend purchasing travel insurance, as refunds cannot be provided for weather, nearby construction, or incidents related to rural Mexico.
Water and Electricity
All water is delivered by truck. Please conserve water during your stay and be patient if a refill is needed. We will arrange for the supply to be replenished.
Water availability is directly connected to electricity. The area occasionally experiences brief power outages or brownouts. We will work with the electric company to resolve any issues as quickly as possible.
Cleaning and Laundry Policy
A mid-stay cleaning is available for half price. Please schedule it in advance so we can coordinate appropriately.
We ask guests to care for Casa Circo as they would their own home. This is our home, not a hotel.
Casa Circo is set up exclusively as a vacation rental. It is not intended for cleaning out recreational vehicles or serving as a stopover for extended Baja travel. Laundry related to a longer trip should be handled off-site.
You may inquire before your stay about excess laundry or a vehicle cleanout. An exception may be approved with an additional water- and machine-use charge. If this is not disclosed before your stay, the charge will be applied through Airbnb.

We had an absolute amazing time at Casa Circo. There was something to do for everyone ! Excellent hospitality, close to everything in Cerritos , very kid friendly ( playground, toys, books, pool, kitchen items, high chair , pack and play, seriously everything you need) the house is spacious, comfortable, beautiful. Photos don’t do justice and the host were so kind and helpful when I couldn’t find the house. Highly recommended, perfect vacation home . We cannot wait to come back ! Thank you !!!

This rental is perfect for families with kids. Our 3 and 6 year olds had so many play options available -- outdoor play structure, swings. kid-friendly pool, books and toys. This meant my husband and I could sit back and enjoy a few extra moments of adult conversation. Super easy walk or drive to Cerritos beach, and short drive to Pescadero and Todos Santos. Rachel and Alex were extremely responsive and kind. We look forward to our return visit.

Beautiful home! Alex was a great host, extremely communicative and flexible. The location in Cerritos is perfect. A 15ish minute walk to the beach and to little cafes and bars. The pool was clean and perfect for our group of 4. The filtered water made things easy. Nice hot showers and comfy beds. Honestly one of the nicest airbnbs I’ve ever stayed in. I’ll be back!

This is our 4th trip to Los Cerritos and this is the best place we’ve stayed. We came down with a group of friends including kids/babies. This place is perfect. Plenty of bathrooms, hang out space, love the pool, well stocked kitchen. Alex and Rachel are great hosts and very helpful. We loved it all.

We are a family of 4 with young kids and loved staying here. Highly recommend if you visit the area with kids of any age. Bunk beds, plentiful kids toys/games, outdoor shower and private pool are highlights. We all loved the open concept living with many comfortable places to hang out. Casa circo is a short drive to the beach, restaurants and amenities. Some easily walkable. We had one issue with the hot water when we first arrived, but hosts were very responsive and sent property manager the next day. Issue was promptly resolved. We would definitely stay here again.

Casa Circo was the perfect spot for our family vacation. Functional kitchen with everything that you could need to cook. Proper pots & pans and good knifes made us feel at home. An unexpected surprise was the filtered water throughout the house. What a game changer! The toys were awesome to keep kids from 1 to 7 entertained. Awesome pool, fun art, great views! Rachel & Alex were easy to communicate with and responded quickly to any concerns. We’d definitely book again!

Stunning house, spacious, great layout for families especially if someone’s working from home during your stay. Warm pool. Loads of shady spots during the day. Fantastic kitchen layout. Filtered water throughout the house. Comfy beds/sofa. Plenty of towels/bedding/beach equipment. We stayed with 4 year olds who really enjoyed the huge range of toys, books and games as well as play spaces and play house that were in different areas of the house. It meant spending time with kids in the house was always varied and interesting. Master sweet is big with a huge bed and great views. Other rooms are down the other end of the house with a separate bathrooms. Beach is a walk away but probs want to drive and there’s free parking. Great restaurants nearby. Todos Santos has loads of shops (and a good grocery place) and restaurants. Do a shop on your way in from a hypermarket though. Perfect stay overall, I couldn’t recommend enough. Owners are very attentive and helpful if you need anything.

I kept on reading the reviews because my experience was far from the positive comments. There was a strong, unpleasant smell throughout the house — I’m not sure if the place hadn’t been rented for a while or what the issue was, but it was SO STINKY. The floor was dusty, and there was fuzz flying around once you turned on the AC in the room. The bathrooms had hair and were generally dirty. You could tell they either have pets or recently allowed one, because there were white dog hairs in the upstairs bathroom. The fridge was disgusting, with a brown sticky stain inside (and of course it smelled rotten). In the pantry, there were items supposedly left for guests, but some had expired three years ago. Airbnbs are supposed to feel like a “home away from home”. I know they’re not required to provide soap or shampoo, but it’s always appreciated — otherwise, you end up having to run to the store right before your shower when you realize there’s none. There wasn’t even basic salt for cooking.
