Casa Costa Salvaje
Casa Costa Salvaje is a Pacific-facing retreat for those who want to experience the sea in a simple, natural, and authentic way.
Wake up to the sound of the waves, enjoy breakfast overlooking Playa Amarillo, and end the day watching the sunset from home. Surrounded by nature and just steps from the sea, the house preserves the free-spirited, slightly wild character that makes this part of Nicaragua so special.
It is a place to slow down, walk barefoot, and simply enjoy your surroundings.
The Space
Casa Costa Salvaje is a complete oceanfront home with indoor and outdoor areas designed to showcase views of Playa Amarillo throughout the day.
The heart of the house is a spacious, bright living and dining room with an equipped kitchen and direct ocean views. Two air-conditioning units keep the common area comfortable on warmer days. There are also convenient spaces for working online during your stay.
Outside, a large palapa facing the Pacific provides shade and a refreshing breeze. It is ideal for breakfast, lunch, reading, or relaxing while looking out over the ocean. Beside it, an open area is available for sunbathing and enjoying the tropical climate.
The house includes:

- A terrace
- Several areas for relaxing
- Ocean views throughout the property
Move easily from the air-conditioned interior to the shade of the palapa and then down to the beach, while keeping the Pacific in view.
Guest Access
During your stay, you will have private access to the entire Casa Costa Salvaje. The house will be exclusively yours and your companions’ throughout your visit.

Other Things to Note
Casa Costa Salvaje is situated on a small hill overlooking the ocean. Reaching the house from the main street requires walking approximately 30 meters uphill. Please consider this before booking, particularly if you have reduced mobility.
Free parking is available on the main street at the beginning of the access path to the house. The area is quiet and residential, and this is where we usually park.
The short climb is rewarded with an open, privileged view of the Pacific and Playa Amarillo.

It’s absolutely fantastic. The location is incredible with an amazing view right over the sea, and the sunsets are just unreal. You’re super close to the water, which is amazing. The house itself has a really relaxed vibe and is beautifully decorated. On top of that, the host was top. Communication couldn't have been better. Truly a fantastic experience. Highly recommended! Very beautiful beachhouse on top of the cliffs with a magnificient view of the ocean and the most stunning sunsets. Carolina and Sarah were very friendly and always here to help.

Beautiful shaded terrace with a spectacular view of the sea and sunsets. The house is very bright, very nice, warm and well decorated and furnished. The atmosphere is very nice, and the tranquility of the place is a very positive aspect. Amarillo Beach, a 5-minute walk away, is great for swimming in the waves and having fun for hours. Its wild side is a plus. At high tide, the surfers show up, and some are particularly talented and enjoyable to watch. Playa Popoyo is only a 20-minute drive from the house and is worth a visit. In the end, the Airbnb rental experience was particularly pleasant due to the very pleasant and efficient communication with both hosts. Two super friendly, proactive women who enthusiastically embrace their role. I recommend +++ renting this house. We plan to stay there again on our next trip to Nicaragua. 🫶🏼

We really enjoyed our stay at Sarah’s place. The house is situated on top of a hill giving amazing views over playa Amarillo. The kitchen facilities are amazing - with the additional grill outside as well. The place is situated a 2 minute walk from playa Gigante and 5 minute walk from the surfing beach playa Amarillo. There are surfboards for rent at the house for a reasonable price which we took advantage of. Sarah was really helpful and friendly throughout our trip - we are very grateful! Would thoroughly recommend a stay at Casa Salvaje to anyone . We would’ve stayed longer if we could!

Casa Costa Salvaje is awesome. The house is very well designed and appointed. The use of refurbished wood on the furniture looks great. The view is stunning and roar of the surf mesmerizing. Playa Gigante provided us with a much more authentic experience than we’d have at any resort and the ability to buy fresh fish each morning from the fishermen was a treat. Playa Amarilla is fantastic and often felt like our private beach. Finally, Sarah and Carolina were quick to respond and helpful when we reached out with questions. Thank you! We’ll be back.
