We had an amazing stay with great variety of things to do! A cool swim in the lake or a warm swim in the heated pool both amazing. The option for help with cleaning the place and the on site staff was super helpful for our stay. Loved the privacy- and the views were spectacular. Would love to book again our family really enjoyed it!

The place is beautiful! The host gave us lots of recommendations, and the Airbnb staff who took care of us were very friendly. It's worth every penny! The views are beautiful.

Ataraxia is a beautiful property right on Lake Atitlán and made a wonderful home base for our group. The heated pool was a highlight, and the caretakers were courteous and helpful, even preparing tasty breakfasts for us. A few heads-ups for future guests: we encountered scorpions and bugs in the houses — not shocking given the remote lakeside setting, but shake out shoes/clothing and keep suitcases closed. The access road is rough for a loaded van; we found accessing by boat much easier. The path down to the lake is a decent climb, so consider mobility needs. Also, the listing mentions a washer/dryer, but the caretakers actually offer laundry service instead. None of these were dealbreakers — just good to know ahead of time. We had a great stay overall and would recommend Ataraxia to anyone looking for a beautiful, relaxing spot on the lake.

A beautiful place, a nice house, a spectacular view. I loved that the house is surrounded by nature, the trails to go down to the lake, the campfire at night. Everything was amazing! The water in that part of the lake is crystal clear. You can swim and do water sports. We had a great time!

Amazing relaxing stay post acatenango. An idyllic retreat on the lake that offers clear and clear waters with paddle boards and kayaks. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. If you’re looking for a quiet peaceful retreat on lake atitlan this is hard to beat!

A great stay over all!! Adolfo was super attentive, Salvador and Sandra were absolutely incredible! I definitely recommend staying here if you want to get away and disconnect from your day to day. My only recommendation for anyone staying here if you book last minute (like I did) is definitely stop at a grocery store and get everything you need if you plan to cook yourselves. There are restaurants 15-20 minutes away by car but definitely cannot walk there. I truly enjoyed my stat here. My family’s highlight was the infinity pool and kayaking.

An amazing house! It's cozy, with spectacular views and access to the lake. Salvador and his family are amazing people and were helpful at all times. I would definitely come back again!

The place is beautiful, ideal for disconnecting from everyday life. Adolfo was always attentive to resolve any issues, and the caretaker, Salvador, is also always attentive. The place is as shown in the photos.
