Casa del Arbol is a private, peaceful retreat nestled in the jungle and surrounded by gardens and palm trees. The property includes a main house and a smaller casita, comfortably accommodating up to eight guests.

It is located:

• One minute from Manzanillo Beach
• Six minutes from Playa Hermosa
• Fifteen minutes from Santa Teresa

Designed as a relaxed, open space connected to nature, the property combines the comforts of home with an immersive jungle setting. It is ideal for large families, two families, or groups of friends.

The Space

The property consists of two separate buildings—the main house and the casita—located just steps from one another. The home is close to several excellent restaurants, including an Italian bistro directly across the street.

Main House

The main house includes:

• High-speed internet suitable for video calls
• Two large air-conditioned bedrooms with queen beds
• Ample clothing storage
• A desk area in the primary bedroom
• A large en-suite bathroom in the primary bedroom
• A second full bathroom
• A fully equipped, air-conditioned, open-concept kitchen
• A living room overlooking the infinity pool and expansive deck

The kitchen is designed for cooking and opens toward the living area. Large, floor-to-ceiling glass bifold doors can be opened to create a seamless indoor-outdoor living experience. During the dry season, the deck offers a small glimpse of the coastal ocean.

Outdoor Area

The outdoor space features:

• Propane gas barbecue
• Expansive cooking area
• Eight-seat dining table
• Plenty of shaded seating
• Infinity pool
• Views and sounds of the surrounding wildlife

The outdoor area is a wonderful place to relax after a day of adventure, enjoy the pool, or share meals with family and friends. A private chef and beach dinners can also be arranged for an additional fee.

Casita

The smaller house, known as the casita, is only a few steps from the main house and includes:

• High-speed internet
• Air conditioning
• Large deck
• Floor-to-ceiling glass bifold doors
• Queen bed
• Set of bunk beds
• Four-seat dining table
• Ample clothing storage
• Full bathroom
• Kitchenette with:
  • Mid-size refrigerator
  • Sink
  • Coffee maker
  • Kettle
  • Toaster oven
  • Electric cooking pan

The casita’s two-head outdoor shower is convenient for cooling off and rinsing after returning from the beach. It is also accessible from the main house.

The patio can be fully enclosed with a gate, providing added safety for toddlers or pets. It also offers a pleasant sunset view.

Location

The two houses provide a private and peaceful retreat surrounded by nature while remaining close to Santa Teresa, which is a 15-minute drive away. Guests can wake up to the sounds of the jungle and experience Costa Rica’s abundant wildlife.

The fully fenced and secure property is located between Manzanillo and Playa Hermosa:

• Manzanillo Beach is a one-minute drive or a 500-meter walk away.
• Manzanillo is known for its calm, quiet swimming conditions and lovely tide pools for children.
• A peaceful surf spot is approximately a five-minute drive from the property.
• Playa Hermosa is a six-minute drive away and offers excellent surfing, plenty of activity, and numerous restaurants.
• Santa Teresa is a 15-minute drive away, with a wide selection of restaurants and shops.

Staff and Security

Our cleaning and maintenance staff live on the property in a private residence separate from the main house and casita. They provide:

• Daily attention to the grounds
• Prompt maintenance assistance when needed
• Timely cleaning service
• An additional sense of security while guests are away

A neighborhood security guard is also on duty every day from 5:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m.

Transportation

A high-clearance vehicle or an all-terrain vehicle is required to get around. Four-wheel drive is not required to access the property.

We can arrange an all-terrain vehicle, including two- or four-seater options, upon booking or arrival. Cars can be rented at the airport, in Cobano, or in Santa Teresa through Alamo or Budget.

Guest Access

The nightly rate includes access to both the main house and the casita, which are separate buildings on the property.

Additional Information

• Cleaning service is included in the nightly rate for weekly guests.
• A neighborhood security guard is on duty daily from 5:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m.
• Maintenance and cleaning staff live on the property in a private house.
• Massages, yoga classes, private chef services, grocery delivery, and laundry service can be arranged for an additional fee.
