Casa Alicia

Overview

Casa Alicia is an ocean-view house designed for two guests in a pleasant Manuel Antonio neighborhood between the beach and Quepos.

The Space

The property is located at one of the highest points in Manuel Antonio. Reaching the house requires climbing more than 100 steps, so please consider whether the property is suitable for you and your companion.

Guests who enjoy exercise and an active lifestyle may find this property especially suitable. The effort is rewarded with beautiful ocean views and breathtaking sunsets from the spacious balcony.

The house includes:

• One bedroom with a queen-size bed
• A single sofa bed in the living room and kitchen area
• Air conditioning and ceiling fans in both the bedroom and living room
• A private bathroom connected to the bedroom
• A hot-water shower
• A spacious balcony with ocean views

Please let us know if you will need the sofa bed so we can provide the necessary blankets.

The living room air conditioner automatically turns off at 11:30 p.m. and resumes operation at 7:00 a.m. The bedroom air conditioner remains available throughout the night.

Please turn off at least the bedroom air conditioner whenever you leave the house. Although you may leave the living room unit running to keep the space cool, turning off the bedroom unit helps conserve energy and supports environmental sustainability.

Kitchen and Laundry

The fully equipped kitchen includes:

• Cooking utensils
• Microwave
• Coffee maker
• Blender
• Toaster

A laundry area with a washing machine is located near the main entrance and is available for your use.

Water Pump

Because Casa Alicia is situated at a higher elevation, the property uses a water pump to maintain good water pressure throughout the house.

You may occasionally hear a small sound when the pump turns on. This is normal and helps maintain a steady water supply.

Parking

You will have a private parking space next to the stairs. Katherine will show you the space upon arrival.

Because the parking area is shared with other guests, please always park in the designated space marked Casa Alicia.

Power Outages

Occasional power outages can occur in Costa Rica due to circumstances beyond our control, including weather conditions, accidents, or fallen trees. Some outages are announced in advance, while others may happen unexpectedly.

For your convenience, small white emergency lights are placed throughout the house. Each light has an orange button that can be used to turn it on during a power outage, especially at night.

Please use the emergency lights only during outages or other emergencies to help preserve the performance and lifespan of the bulbs. Turn them off once the electricity returns.

Towels and Blankets

Boxes containing towels and blankets are stored inside the house. Please do not open or use these items, as they are reserved for future guests. They are stored this way because there is currently no separate storage room.

Everything you need for your stay will be provided and prepared for your arrival. Our host, Katherin, will ensure that you have everything necessary.
