This new home is situated in the desirable Palermo neighborhood, just a 5-minute fully paved drive from downtown San Juan Del Sur. Positioned on the edge of a forest reserve, the property offers a tranquil and peaceful setting. Nearby, you can find hiking trails, a swimming hole, and a waterfall featuring a Pre-Colombian petroglyph within walking distance.
The area is abundant with various bird species and diverse wildlife, making it a unique spot for nature lovers. Despite its serene environment, the home remains centrally located with easy access to town and all major beaches.
The Space
Completed in 2023, this immaculate residence is designed for both comfort and practicality. It features two spacious bedrooms with high ceilings, large walk-in closets, and air conditioning. The entire 2-bedroom, 2-bathroom house has a warm and inviting atmosphere enhanced by thoughtful lighting.
The main living area combines the dining room, kitchen, and living room in an open floor plan. High ceilings and excellent ventilation, including a large ceiling fan, contribute to the spacious feel and offer beautiful views of the surrounding forest.
Surrounded by lush trees and plants, the home backs onto a forest with hiking trails where you can observe birds, monkeys, and enjoy scenic vistas. There is also a peaceful sitting and meditation area next to a stream.
Guest Access
The main floor, which includes the 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms, has multiple entry points. Large sliding glass doors run along the front of the house, while a side entrance with a mudroom provides access to the parking area.

Casa del Bosque was a great choice to stay during our visit to San Juan del Sur. It is located away from the town and in a peaceful location. The unit is very clean and roomy and the pool was perfect to relax in. Shannon provided us with lots of recommendations and useful advice.

This accommodation is a perfect 10 out of 10. First of all, the road leading to the place is excellent and easy to find. It’s about a 10-minute drive to downtown. It offers complete privacy and features a beautiful swimming pool. The host is very attentive and kind. I highly recommend this place to all travelers visiting San Juan del sur.

Beautiful Home, very well maintained with great Hosts who think of all details. Extremely detailed information with everything you would need. Fast response from Host. Superb Recommended. Close to Downtown but far enough it is private & peaceful.

Brett and Shannon were excellent hosts. We stayed almost two weeks and loved it. The pool is the perfect place to lounge and read a book, especially close to sunset. It’s removed enough from the town that it felt very tranquil. We walked to and from town a couple times, but I would definitely recommend having a moto or car to get around. Home is spacious, clean, and lovely. Shannon was very communicative and a helpful. Would definitely recommend!

My daughter and I spent a couple of super quiet and relaxed days, as planned. The place is quiet, ideal if you want to rest and at the same time be able to go to the village for a walk or to have something to eat, since it is five minutes away. And to complete the trip, they allowed us to bring our two little dogs. Super easy check-in and check-out, without having to wait to see anyone. The apartment is ideal, with two comfortable bedrooms and everything you need for your stay. The private and large pool. I really hope to come back soon. Thank you for everything!!
