The Space

El Sargento Oasis consists of Casa Kalalita and Casita Corazon. Both homes share the main entrance to the grounds, while each has its own private entrance. The fully enclosed property is surrounded by a beautiful river-rock wall, creating a peaceful and private retreat.

Casa Kalalita is a modern three-bedroom, four-bathroom home. Casita Corazon is a newly built two-bedroom, one-bathroom home located above the garage. With generous areas for gathering, relaxing, working, cooking, and playing, the property is well suited to families, groups of friends, remote professionals, and anyone eager to enjoy Baja’s active lifestyle.

The sunrise is one of the most memorable features of the property. Wake to the sky glowing above the Sea of Cortez as the changing colors illuminate the mountains of Isla Cerralvo.

Beach and Water Activities

Adventure begins just outside the house. The fully stocked toy garage includes beach essentials, paddleboards, kayaks, and other equipment for enjoying the water.

• Relax on the beach

Enjoy calm mornings on the water with the included snorkel gear, paddleboards, or kayaks. When the thermal winds arrive, kiteboarding and windsurfing equipment can be stored conveniently in the beach toy garage. Step directly onto the beach to launch from the house, or enjoy a downwinder to South Beach.

Low-Tide Note

Fig Tree Beach, a popular kiting launch, is a short walk north of the house. At low tide, rocks may be exposed directly in front of the property. When this occurs, we recommend walking north before launching.

Nearby Dining and Shopping

Oscaritos, a local market offering groceries, beverages, and everyday essentials, is only a short walk away.

For dining, take a short walk north along the beach to La Tuna, a lively beach bar known for its excellent food, drinks, and fun evening atmosphere. A short walk south leads to Las Palmas, a local favorite serving breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Their chile relleno is considered one of the best in the area.

Relaxation and Outdoor Adventures

For a relaxing day indoors, enjoy the “Window Tv” while watching the kites move across the water.

Casa Tara, a local spa and yoga studio, is located a short distance south. The area also offers more than 70 trails managed by LAVAMBA for:

• Mountain biking
• Trail running
• Nature walks

Nearby highlights include hiking the Punta Gorda trail and exploring the guided trails through the Cardón forest.

Families can travel light with the included children’s and baby equipment:

Guest Support and Property Services

We want your stay to feel easy and well supported. Our local team enjoys welcoming guests and assisting whenever needed.

• A local caretaker lives nearby and can answer questions or help with house-related needs.
• The gardener visits three times a week to collect trash, water the plants, and maintain the exterior grounds.
• Composting and recycling services are included and collected weekly.
• The hot tub is cleaned and maintained weekly, or upon request.

Composting and Recycling

Place compost in the sealed compost bucket and close it tightly each time. Because the property is located in a warm desert environment, exposed food waste can quickly attract insects and other pests. Please store and dispose of food carefully during your stay.

Guest Access

Guests have full access to the toy garage and everything inside, including:

• Beach chairs
• Beach toys
• Two paddleboards
• Snorkel gear
• Children’s life jackets

Additional guest amenities include:

• Outdoor bathroom
• Outdoor shower
• Grill
• Two washer and dryer sets
• Beach gear and water toys

Garage parking is not available for guest use. Guests may park inside the gated property if preferred, and additional parking is conveniently available outside the house. Space for a trailer or camper may also be available upon request.

Utilities, Fresh Water, and Remote Location

Because of the property’s remote coastal location, occasional power or water interruptions may occur. The home has a backup generator, and we respond as quickly as possible after being notified of any issue. Temporary outages or service delays are possible, particularly during weather events or on weekends.

Fresh water in Baja is limited and valuable. The property receives trucked water, and one truck of fresh water is provided per week for each stay. Please use water thoughtfully and help conserve this important resource. If additional water deliveries are required during your stay, the cost is the guest’s responsibility.

To conserve water, please avoid washing kite, wing, beach, or other outdoor gear during your stay. Wait until the end of the trip to rinse equipment, and use as little water as possible.
