we stayed in erika’s house for two months. when we arrived, there was an overwhelming smell of air freshener, & the place seemed much more worn than the photos, especially the furniture. the place had quirks. there were no toothbrush holders, places to put things in the shower, room for your food in the cabinets, etc. we brought these things to erika’s attention when she asked how check in was & she didn’t respond. the bed creeked so badly every time you moved. we had a few problems over our stay. the couch had to be fixed, & both of the sinks leaked. the property managers were nice, but the visits were inconvenient. erika did message us about our electricity usage about a month in. we were working from the unit & cooking most our meals there, while abiding by their strict AC rules. her message wasn’t friendly. the complex had renovations from the time we arrived to the time we left. there were constantly people working outside the unit, & it was loud, & at time smelled. 2.5/5

My children and I just returned home after an eight-night stay at Erika’s place, and it was a wonderful experience from start to finish. The location was ideal—everything we needed was an easy walk away, which made getting around simple and enjoyable. We felt very safe throughout our stay, thanks to the on-site security and friendly neighbors. The pool, just steps from the suite, was a perfect escape after long, hot days. We absolutely loved Tamarindo and would happily return. Thanks for hosting us :) Pura vida!

Erika was great and we enjoyed our stay at her place. She was very helpful with recommendations and guidance. The apartment was close to everything and was also quiet and safe. We would definitely stay again!

The arranged driver was 40 minutes late picking us up upon arrival at airport. Liane, the property manager tried to say the driver was out front the entire time we were waiting. He clearly wasn’t as all 3 of us saw him pull up. If that wasn’t bad enough, 10 or 15 minutes into our drive to Airbnb we were told we’d be switching to another driver who would take us the rest of the way. We walked into Airbnb and immediately noticed musty smell. The Airbnb might have been renovated at one time but definitely in need of repairs. None of the doors fit properly leaving significant light filtering through, including the front door. The keypad access lock was very loose. The master shower base full of water rust stains. The water pressure in both bathrooms questionable. Absolutely no counter spaces in both upstairs bathrooms for toiletries. No electrical outlet or towel bars in main level bathroom. If you have mobility issues, walking on roads to beach/restaurants is a challenge.

This is the perfect place when staying in Tamarindo. Everything is within walking distance including the beach. The place has everything you need and AC runs well keeping it cool during the hottest season. Erika was a great host and checked in several times to ensure everything was going well. I couldn’t recommend this place enough!

I can't say enough about the fabulous location (close to beach, restaurants, markets, coffee shops, grocery stores), our helpful and responsive host Erika, and her very safe and comfortable home. The property manager was also very accessible and helpful. Overall, our family loved our stay in Tamarindo!
