Ocean View Chateau

A beautiful home with the most stunning views!!!! There is so much space in this villa that there is somewhere for everyone to hang out together or to find a quiet place for some alone time. We saw beautiful birds, some iguanas and howler monkeys in the trees right on the property. You definitely need a 4x4 vehicle to get up the steep road but the view is worth it! Playa Hermosa is a fantastic beach and the villa has beach towels and chairs for you to use. There is a grocery store right at the bottom by near the entrance to the villa but I would recommend going to Coco to the bigger stores for more selection and much better prices. The pool was perfect to float in and take in the view or the stars at night. The concierge service is amazing - definitely take advantage of them if you can. The only main negative I can say is that the villa does need some sprucing up and not everything was functional in the house (the big thing was the stove in the casita) but would still recommend.

This house has a lot of potential, but it seemed in need of some updates and repairs. Location and house itself were great. There was a ton of space for our group and the beds were all comfortable. We experienced some minor issues with the oven and pool and running out of water on the second day. All of these issues were addressed quickly and as best as they could. We also experienced some unfortunate issues with the septic system. When we called to report sewage leaking out in the driveway, they told us it was our fault for flushing toilet paper. I’m confident that issue had been building up for a while and got really bad while we were there, there is no way that flushing toilet paper for two days caused what we dealt with. The property manager was very responsive, but they had to send someone out three days in a row to get that problem fixed. Overall we had a nice stay, but we’ve stayed at other houses in the same area and have not dealt with the issues we encountered here.

The home was lovely. Amazing view, beautiful rooms, comfy beds. As other reviewers here have stated, would be perfect with some updates and tweaks but we felt this is reflected in the price of the listing. We did not use the concierge as we had already lined up some excursions,etc. and found their pricing to be a little too much for us. For our chef services we used Gerson from Gerlis Kitchen and LOVED them. Super fun and affordable and food was the highlight of our trip! For our boat excursion we used: Mr Pelicans Boat Tour for our family of 9- full day on the water. The house manager was very responsive and kind. Handled issues as they came pretty quickly. Our last day the oven stopped working so we couldn’t cook dinner and the pool was unusable because it was so dirty & green. She sent the pool guy but unfortunately it didn’t fix the problem so we were unable to use the pool the last day which was a huge bummer for us because we stayed at the house the whole day.

This house was absolutely breathtaking. It was extremely clean and beautifully maintained, and it’s an amazing place if you want to take photos—the scenery and overall design make it perfect for that. The property itself is truly stunning and creates a very peaceful atmosphere. It is a bit farther out from the main areas, about a 30-minute drive to restaurants and other activities. However, if you’re looking for peace, quiet, and a private setting, this place is perfect. It’s also great if you want to bring in a private chef and enjoy a relaxing meal in such a beautiful space. Overall, the experience was incredible, and the price for a home like this was absolutely amazing. If you’re looking for a quiet, stunning place to relax and capture beautiful photos, this is definitely the place to stay.

Spectacular views from this spacious six bedroom villa that was loved by our party of twelve. Kitchen well stocked and pool table especially appreciated. Great indoor and outdoor seating for large groups. Having groceries delivered before we arrived and having an in house chef for one meal was especially convenient. Great location for nearby beaches and close to the international airport in Liberia. We enjoyed the pool and comfortable lounge chairs but could not get the hot tub temperature above warm. The decking boards are in need of repair in certain areas. The plumbing and electricity failed on New Year's Eve but were attended to in a timely manner. Overall we had a great time at our 60th wedding anniversary family reunion. I would definitely recommend this house for large groups.

The house has tremendous potential but could use some care and updating. The space is fantastic with plenty of room for a large party to spread out. We loved the location in Playa Hermosa as it is removed from any bustle but convenient enough to find anything you want, and the support team was fantastic with both local suggestions and assistance with the house. Unfortunately, we needed consistent help from the support staff for plumbing issues, and for such a beautiful place, there were far too many broken or partially working items. The home really could be stunning, and we enjoyed our time there, but it does need some investment as it seems like guests have been very hard on it.
