I chose this apartment for the location, one of my favorite parts of San José, and that part delivered: walkable to restaurants, shopping, museums, and transit. The host was great: responsive, often replying immediately. The apartment itself was clean, with good-sized rooms and a sufficient kitchen. But it wasn't the unit I booked (different floor, different look), and the parking included in the listing was only confirmed after I pushed back. The bigger issues are the building. It's not designed to buffer sound; even on the 16th floor, it felt like standing at the train station, and you hear neighbors' footsteps and everything upstairs. Our key card never worked at the main entrance, and both my son and I were treated with condescension by front desk staff when we raised it. Only two employees were courteous all stay. Location and host: excellent. Building experience: disappointing.
