Important Things to Know
Tesoro Dorado is located in the oldest colonial city in Central America and is an open-air colonial home. The house is comfortable and full of character, but it is not completely insulated from the surrounding environment.
- Granada is a lively city with frequent festivals, parades, and traditional bombas, or firecrackers.
- Roosters live in the neighborhood and may be heard.
- Dust and insects are possible because the center of the house is open to the air.
- Mosquitoes may enter the home. Mosquito coils are provided, and keeping bedroom doors closed helps limit insects in the sleeping areas.
- Street parking is not recommended. Guests have experienced theft of mirrors and other small items from vehicles parked on the street. Secure parking lots are available three blocks away.
- Electricity and water outages occasionally occur in Nicaragua and are usually brief. The home has a water cistern to provide water during outages.
Granada and Nicaragua can be a little rough around the edges, but they offer a window into another world and culture. We hope you embrace the experience and create lasting memories.
Guest Access
The home has an electronic door lock. The access code will be sent two hours before check-in.
A pool maintenance professional visits twice weekly for a short time, usually on Mondays and Thursdays around 11:00 a.m.
Maid service is provided weekly for longer stays.

Everything was excellent. They were very attentive, and there's nothing to tell them that we found or that they could improve. I wish I had booked for longer.

The experience was 10/10. First of all, the security, which I consider one of the most important things, was excellent and made us feel very at ease throughout the stay. The house was also very comfortable. The rooms had plenty of space and, above all, everything was very clean and tidy. It was definitely a very pleasant experience, and we would definitely come back.
