The Space
This spacious and comfortable beach house is just a short walk from Carrillo Beach. It features six bedrooms and can accommodate up to 22 guests, making it ideal for large families or groups of friends. Each bedroom includes a private bathroom.
The house spans three floors:
- First floor: kitchen, dining room, living room, minibar area, and sliding doors leading to the terrace and pool. One bedroom on this floor has a slightly separate entrance.
- Second and third floors: two bedrooms on each floor.
- Outside the main entrance: the sixth bedroom has a fully independent entrance but remains within the property.
The terrace includes a small wooden deck perfect for socializing, meditation, reading, small events, or personalized yoga and Pilates sessions.
The pool area offers sun loungers, a small living room, an additional dining table, and a barbecue space, creating a great social setting for groups.
The house is fully equipped with kitchen utensils, bath and pool towels, a dishwasher, washing machine, and dryer to ensure a hassle-free stay.
Daily cleaning service is available upon request, excluding Sundays and holidays.
We also provide recommendations for local tours and activities, as well as optional cooking or massage services that can be arranged at the house.
Location
The property is situated in the heart of Playa Carrillo, approximately 400 meters from the beach. Carrillo Beach is wide, lined with palm trees providing natural shade, and features warm, calm waters, making it a safe and pleasant spot.
Nearby amenities within walking distance include several restaurants and a well-stocked small supermarket.
The area is generally safe, though guests are advised to keep the house locked and avoid leaving valuables visible in vehicles.

We loved Casa Guarumo. We were two families from Canada traveling together. There was plenty of space for everyone. We loved our stay, especially the pool that opens onto the open-plan Casa. I recommend to all my friends. Wonderful place to stay on vacation.

This place was amazing. The host was so responsive at all times. The best thing about the place in my opinion is that everyone had their own bathroom. It was so spacious, there was a huge gathering area and the pool was so so nice. Loved this place, would definitely go back and explore more.

This is an absolutely amazing house at a phenomenal location. The house itself was beautiful and the set up of the bedrooms allowed for privacy when traveling with my large family. The pool was perfect for our toddlers with a large shallow end for them to safely play in. Directly across the street was a lovely coffee shop with great baked goods, a pharmacy, fruit and vegetables store, a meat store, and a small shop. The location was walkable to the beach and to restaurants. It was a quick drive to Samara. We had a wonderful time and would absolutely come back to this beautiful home!

Fantastic Stay for Groups Near Playa Carrillo We stayed March 13–17 with 3 families (6 adults, 8 teens), and this place was perfect for our group. It never felt crowded, and having a private bathroom for each room was a huge plus. Hot water, strong water pressure, and AC in every room made the stay very comfortable. The pool area is excellent, and the outdoor showers/washrooms are a nice touch. The BBQ and fully stocked kitchen made it easy to cook meals at home. A highlight was having Carolina cook us an authentic Costa Rican dinner—great value and a really special experience. The location is ideal. Playa Carrillo is only a 400m walk and is absolutely beautiful—quiet, with very few vendors and mostly locals. There are small shops, a bakery, and sodas just steps away. Playa Samara is a 10-minute drive and offers a livelier, more touristy vibe. We took surf lessons with Leo’s Surf School—highly recommend. The kitchen was set up for any needs we had. We were able to cook a dinner and all our breakfasts right at home. The restaurants and grocery store across the street were a huge bonus. The Argentine restaurant next door is AMAZING. We loved the local beach but chose to go to Samara to do surf lessons. We took an incredible whale and dolphin watching tour with Francisco tours. We left from the beach 1 minute away. Carillo tide pools are very close and also amazing at low tide. Management booked a massage for us right at the house too. The pool/pool area were extremely clean. I think it’s important to remember when coming to Central America that homes are more open than what you might be used to. This means there’s bound to be bugs and some ants. My kids were surprised so I figured I would give you a heads up to just expect that pretty much everywhere you go. I would recommend staying here and would definitely come back again. Great experience.
