The Space
El Bajadero, overlooking the Pacific Ocean, is a vacation home designed for families or groups of friends who enjoy traveling together while maintaining their own space and comfort. Situated on a hillside just off the coastline, the house features a cascading architectural design that places every bedroom with expansive ocean views.
The main living room boasts 12-foot ceilings and is surrounded by pocket doors that open onto a wide, wrap-around porch and terrace. This outdoor area includes two seating zones, a fire pit, a barbecue, and a dining space for 10 under a pergola, allowing enjoyment regardless of sun intensity.
The pool level is richly decorated and equipped with a refrigerator, a bar, a unique outdoor shower, and separately zoned speakers—everything needed for a relaxing day. The pool itself features an infinity lap lane, an in-pool spa, and a Baja shelf with two built-in tanning beds. Nearby, a pergola-covered massage deck offers a hammock pit perfect for an afternoon nap or a sunset massage.
Standard amenities include whole-house filtered water, a wine fridge, an easy-to-use Sonos sound system, and a Ring security system.
Bedrooms
El Bajadero has four bedrooms, each with its own distinct character and private bathroom:
- Top-level suite: Includes a private kitchen, living room with a sofa bed, and a terrace with an outdoor shower.
- Colibrí: Features a lush courtyard with a private outdoor bathtub.
- Paloma: Located on the main level with easy access.
- Tulerito: Opens directly to the pool and outdoor bar.
Guest Access
Guests have full access to the entire property. The house is divided into the main residence and a fully independent casita, which has its own entrance and kitchen, allowing for flexible privacy arrangements.
Location and Activities
The area offers a wide range of activities, especially appealing to food enthusiasts, wellness travelers, art lovers, and outdoor adventurers. A detailed guest book provides numerous local recommendations.
Community Engagement
A portion of all rental income from El Bajadero supports Grupo Madre Teresa (GMT), a non-denominational nonprofit organization that offers essential services to vulnerable rural communities in El Pescadero.
Travelers interested in contributing directly can bring old clothes or children’s toys for donation. The house managers will gladly deliver these items to GMT, or guests may visit the organization themselves to see their impactful work. GMT is located just five minutes away, next to Baja Beans, a popular local coffee shop known for its excellent coffee and morning pastries.

Our family of 7 loved staying in Drew’s home. Before we arrived we were provided with a great information “book” and connected to a concierge service that arranged for a private chef and massage for us. When we got into the area we were meet at an easy to find landmark and escorted to the home. The home was extremely well appointed with everything we could possibly need and the views and sunsets were incredible. We would definitely stay here again.

We had a fantastic stay at Drew's Airbnb and would absolutely book it again in the future! One of the things that stood out most was how much space there was. The home has so many separate living and gathering areas that you could easily have eight people staying there and never feel crowded or on top of one another. It was just the two of us on this trip, but we really appreciated how thoughtfully the space was set up. The house was incredibly well-equipped with everything we needed, making our stay comfortable and stress-free. And the pool? We were completely addicted to it! We spent as much time there as possible and it quickly became our favorite part of the property. If you're considering staying here, don't hesitate. It's a wonderful place, and we're already looking forward to coming back.

Our family of 7 including grandparents, parents (us) and our 3 kids had an incredible week at El Bajadero. The entire team was super helpful with us booking massages, horseback riding, private dinners, and having groceries for us upon arrival. The location is a 5 min drive from Cerritos which is the main swimmable/surfable beach and you’re also a 5 min walk from a beautiful walkable beach. The views from every room are stunning and the set up was perfect for my parents to have their own Casita space with the rest of us in the main house. I spent countless hours researching houses in the area and absolutely loved this one. We all felt it was the trip of a lifetime and hope to return next year!

Beautiful home. We loved the fireplace in the evening and early mornings to warm up or keep warm. Great views and saw lots of whales in the distance.

Very nice house, tons of of space. The outdoor patios and pool are the highlights with unobstructed views of the ocean. The host is very helpful and responsive. I really enjoyed staying here!

We had an amazing trip to Cerritos. Spent some incredible days on the swimmable Cerritos Beach - swimming, watching surfers, enjoying gourmet cocktails from a bartender who sets up his stand right on the beach. Enjoyed the pool - saw too many whales to count. The hot tub was so relaxing on the cool Baja nights. Had some truly memorable meals. Highly recommend Same Same But Different for breakfast. Went to Hierbuena, The Green Room and Shakas for dinners. Would recommend them all, especially The Green Room (need reservations). The house manager set up some wonderful services for us. We enjoyed massages at the home that were top notch. And Chef Mahlia made two out of this world meals for us - fish tacos for dinner and divorced eggs for breakfast. Recommend renting a car at the airport. The house is truly beautiful. We had 3 couples and could have easily had 4.
