Other things to note DuoVista is very much part of the Playa Maderas community and is tucked away in a quiet location on the same ridge as the Hush Maderas bar and restaurant 1 min walk away (which also has a very nice pool!). It is walking distance from both Playa Maderas itself and also from the lovely quieter Playa Marsella and has views to both of them (las dos vistas). If you prefer to drive, either is about 2 mins drive away. Both these beaches have several small laid-back local beach cafes offering beers, snacks or full meals and a nice vibe. There is a great walk along the beach from Maderas to Playa Majagual, with a couple more beaches, bays and small cafes as you go. About 5 mins drive away is Machete, a local food market shop, bar and café with a funky Pizza night each Friday and live music on other nights too. There are many shops, cafes, hotels, restaurants, bars and an excellent brewery outlet in San Juan del Sur (our main local shopping town) which is about 20 mins drive away, depending on current road conditions. A rustic shuttle bus service (picking up close by at Hush Maderas) operates four times a day. DuoVista is also a great base for sight-seeing, ocean fishing, horseback riding, volcano climbing, zip-line and canopy tours, catamaran sailing, kayaking, turtle-spotting, yoga classes and in-house massage all available through our local contacts, - plus of course world-class surfing!
