The Space

OffiSuite La Matuna is a comfortable, spacious apartment located on the sixth floor of the Banco de Colombia building in Cartagena Centro Matuna’s financial district. The apartment measures 330 square meters and can comfortably accommodate up to nine guests.

Its strategic location places it between Getsemaní and the Walled City:

• 200 meters from the pier for trips to the islands
• Approximately 20 minutes by car from the beaches
• Public transportation directly in front of the building

Historic sites, restaurants, shopping, supermarkets, pharmacies, cultural venues, prestigious hotels, main squares, brand-name stores, and popular bars and clubs are all within walking distance.

The apartment is well suited to guests who want to explore the Walled City and Getsemaní, visit the Rosario Islands, attend events at the Convention Center, or enjoy Cartagena without relying on a car. Its spacious layout also provides a comfortable setting for work meetings, with pleasant views and good ventilation.

Inside, the rooms are bright, cool, and generously sized. Guests can also relax in the terrace hammocks at any time of day or night.

Guests have access to all areas of the apartment, including the fully equipped kitchen, social area, and terrace. Daily housekeeping is provided for the rooms.

The apartment and building follow applicable biosafety protocols. Before each guest’s arrival, all areas are cleaned and disinfected.

Building Entry Requirements

Guests must provide their identification details and document number for building-entry authorization. This information is sent to the building administration 72 hours in advance, and the authorization is also emailed to guests for presentation upon arrival.

Only the individuals listed in the authorization letter may enter the building.

The property does not support sex tourism.

About La Matuna

La Matuna is a sector of Cartagena located between San Diego and the Historic Center on one side and Getsemaní on the other.

In 1599, approximately 100 years after the arrival of Europeans on the continent, Benkos Biojó rebelled against Spanish pressure, fled, and founded his first settlement in this area of La Matuna. Part of the area is now Centennial Park.

During the 1950s, La Matuna came to represent Cartagena’s modernization. This transformation resulted in the destruction of part of the historic wall surrounding the city and established the area as Cartagena’s financial center.

Modern buildings were constructed on the site of the former station to house banks and insurance companies. As a result, many buildings became known by the names of the companies they hosted.

After a period of decline similar to that experienced by many Latin American city centers, La Matuna underwent urban renewal and revitalization during the last decade. This process restored several public squares, including the traditional Centennial Park, and has begun to influence private buildings. OffiSuite La Matuna is a pioneer in this renewal.
