Our cancellation policy is strict:

• Canceled bookings are non-refundable.
• The $500 damage deposit is refundable.
• Rescheduling your travel dates for a future stay incurs a fee of 50% of the booking amount.

We strongly recommend purchasing holiday rental insurance, travel insurance, or cancellation protection. Depending on your policy, coverage may include travel bans, quarantine, fear of travel, outbreaks, pandemics, or other force majeure events such as hurricanes, divorce, or death. Please review your policy details carefully.

Why Our Cancellation Policy Is Strict

Villa Mauresque is owned and managed by a vacation rental company, which has ongoing expenses such as mortgage payments and employee salaries. The average group size is 14 guests staying for about 4 nights. Cancellation protection coverage typically costs between $60 and $100 per stay, which breaks down to approximately $4 to $7 per guest. We encourage purchasing travel insurance to protect your investment in case you need to cancel or postpone your trip.

Accommodation for Up to 18 Guests

Villa Mauresque Penthouse and its iconic glass bridge are among the most sought-after locations in Playa del Carmen. It is the only large vacation rental house downtown that can accommodate groups of up to 18 guests across 9 bedrooms. The villa is exclusively yours during your stay, with no other groups sharing the space.

If you are unsure about your group size at the time of booking, you can reserve for a smaller group and increase the number of guests free of charge up until check-in.

Water Pressure System

Villa Mauresque is uniquely equipped with a variable frequency drive (VFD) system that ensures constant water pressure throughout the house. This technology, typically found only in high-end hotels, adjusts the pump speed based on water demand. This means even if 18 guests shower simultaneously, water pressure remains consistent.

Important Reminder

Only approved staff for cooking, meal service, bartending, and massages are permitted on the premises. For security and company policy reasons, outside or independent service providers are not allowed. Failure to comply with house rules may result in booking cancellation without refund.

Pets are not allowed.

Events and Parties

Villa Mauresque is experienced in hosting large groups for bachelor and bachelorette parties. Contact your concierge for available options.

Please note that parties or events involving non-resident guests are strictly prohibited.

Villa Mauresque sleeps 18 guests and includes:

• Penthouse (4,628 sq. ft.) with 5 bedrooms (4 king-size beds and 1 queen-size bed), accommodating 10 guests.
• Private apartment with 4 bedrooms (2 king-size beds, 2 queen-size beds) and 2 bathrooms, accommodating 8 guests.

All bedrooms and the main living room with the glass bridge have air conditioning.

• The main living room includes a SMART 70” LED TV and sound system. Guests are encouraged to bring a wireless speaker for the rooftop Jacuzzi.
• A large professional refrigerator with blue LED lighting is available, capable of storing several hundred beverages.
• Upon request, a 13-foot electric projector screen is available for use if you bring your own projector.
• Full Wi-Fi coverage throughout the house and rooftop areas.

Guest Access

The villa is exclusively yours during your stay, ensuring private access to all 9 bedrooms and the rooftop with the Jacuzzi splash pool.
