A place where you wanted to stay forever! The stay was beautiful, despite some rainy days the house was super spacious and very cozy, excellent wi-fi as we would be working remotely so good quality even on video calls. The house is decorated with an artistic theme which gives it a colorful and lively appearance. In the evenings, the balconies show a starry sky that when combined with little artificial light in the surroundings make the night a show. The house is surrounded by a jungle and a beautiful and powerful vibration. In the day you can see, birds, lapas, monkeys and even some quite exotic and unique land birds of the area. Wilberth the person who helped us with keys, address was kind and attentive to requirements even in the smallest detail. The house is three minutes away from two beautiful waves-free beaches within the same neighborhood, forests and river. Many thank you Paola e Gabrielle and thank you for sharing this hermoso lugar!

A comfortable and cozy house, very nice finishes and lots of windows and accesses to connect the internal spaces to the outside.

Our stay at Paola and Gabriele's was outstanding. We cannot think of a better place where to spend the Covid home confinement. We had a huge garden, with tropical trees teeming with wildlife: scarlet macaws, tucans, fiery billed aracari, howler monkeys, squirrel monkeys and capuccin monkeys and so so many otger birds. The house is well equiped and very spacious, just as it shows in the photos. The neirborhood is quiet and safe, and the beach is 15 minutes away on foot. There is a mini supermarket, a bakery and a hardware shop close by, plus different neighbors sell eggs or fish directly. We loved staying here and we will miss it dearly! I hope we can come back in a not so distant future. There is nothing like stepping out in the garden and picking up the tropical fruit directly from the tree! ;-)

We had a good time at the villa. There is much space to relax and you are surrounded by nature. There where lots of animals nearby, which you can observe from the veranda. Paola was very helpful planning our tours on osa peninsula. The caretaker (Wilberth) managed occuring problems with the house immediately. Just to mention is that the climate and age left their traces at the villa (bathrooms, equipment of kitchen, washing machine, mosquito nets, Fans, Lights ...). There is no WiFi as mentioned in the description, but make sure your prepaid provider is not "claro" as there is no connection with that one in Cañaza. Paola mentioned she has Kolbi (or similar) which seems to work. The House could have been a bit cleaner, especially the kitchen. This was the only thing we were not so comfortable with, therefore we went out for dinner quite often. Although being directly in the nature the house was not too full of insects. The trick with the outside lights mentioned by others worked fine for us as well, also we had our own mosquito nets above the beds. The House is not far from Puerto Jiminez (with Car) and there ist a very nice small super Mercado nearby (Just at the Corner from the Main street to the House). To visit the Corcovado Park from la Leona requires an approx. two hours Car Drive (4x4) on very bumpy roads. The entrance "Tigre" is closer but we were told that the hike there is quite long and challanging (which was not suitable for us as we are travelling with two Babies). The best beach for surfing (Pan Dulce) is also around one hour Car Drive away. With the Missing WiFi it would have been nice to have some information material about what to do in and around the house (super markets, way to the beach, what fruits can be found in the garden, how to use the washing mashine, how to get to Corcovado etc.) Overall we had a good time in and around the house and enjoyed being woken by howler monkeys and Aras :).

Paola's place is by far one of the best buildings around, the house is fresh and open, high ceilings and great wood works, great balconies and a huge property for yourself. Weather is humid and warm around the zone but somehow the house feels fresh and airy. The nearest beach is around the corner (800mts ~10/15 minutes lovely walk) and it is a really good one. If the tide is high you can go left from the entrance and be in a cool beach, but if it is low, go to the right and you will find little individual beaches between fallen trees and palms, really nice. Everything in the house worked fine and the clothes dryer is a MUST, hanging clothing will not dry them. Maybe a couple more EURO-to-AMERICAN adapters for electrical appliances or phone chargers could be useful. And lastly a really good tip if you will stay here in the future, at night, leave the outside first floor white lights, those will attract ALL the bugs to them and let us leave without the mosquito net, no repellent needed even. Completely a game changer compared with the 1st night when we turned off all the lights at night. Totally recommended

This home is beautiful, large and clean. The caretaker and his family live on a casita on the property and were very sweet. It's a wonderful property, beautiful balcony and great kitchen, perfect for a small group or family who want to get away and enjoy nature and solitude. Fair warning, we were not able to get data on our phones for miles and there isn't wifi. (This area of CR was the only one we didn't have data.) So be sure to make your plans before arriving in the Corcovado area!

It is a beautiful house in a private place, I liked that I do not have a TV or internet to rest. Monkeys and limpets can be seen next to the house

The house is beautiful. The garden is large and you can see monkeys, parrots, and lizards. The three bedrooms are cozy and the balconies are well equipped (chairs and hammocks). A few small things to consider: It's extremely hot and the ceiling fans are not effective. Plan to buy fans in Puerto Jimenez ($60 each at BM) if you are during the hot period. There is no wifi or cellular network (which is fine but you have to plan ahead if you have any calls to make). The beach is further than the 600 meters described in the listing. In fact it is 1.6 km away so you had to go by car. The city of Puerto Jimenez is cute and there are several beautiful beaches easily accessible. Willberth who hosted us is very kind and welcoming. He helped us with our questions. We recommend this house!
