This property is situated just 6 kilometers from beaches, shops, grocery stores, monkey refuges, and the world-famous Ostional Beach known for its turtles. Nestled in the mountains, it offers cool breezes and stunning views. Wildlife such as monkeys, pizotes, and native birds frequently visit, providing a front-row experience.
The Space
The private cabina is separated from the main house, featuring windows that overlook the mountain and surrounding wildlife. It offers a peaceful atmosphere where you may find it hard to leave the property.
Inside, the cabina includes:
- A spacious room with a kitchenette
- Coffee maker, toaster, microwave, and refrigerator
- Large bathroom with a new hot shower
Amenities
- 50-foot lap pool suitable for exercise or relaxing with a drink
- Access to a beer garden and hiking trails
- The only authentic Irish pub in the mountains and jungle of Costa Rica (closed on Mondays and Tuesdays)
Please note that Costa Rican law prohibits guests from bringing outside alcohol to the pool or restaurant areas.
Additional Information
The property is located in the mountains between Playa Pelada and Playa Ostional. While a vehicle is recommended, especially a 4x4, several taxi services are available to reach the location.

Everything was great, excellent service, take into account if you are going to go, going with SUV style cars with a sedan car is a little difficult.

Kerri was an amazing host! She gave us a lot of tips and information about Costa Rica and the best places to visit in the area. The place has an amazing view of the mountains and as soon as we got there we were greeted with by a lot of monkeys peeking out at us from the trees. The food was excellent and company was great. I highly recommend this place.

We LOVED our stay here! I highly recommend it to anyone who wants the kindest, funniest, most welcoming host in all of Costa Rica. The room was so comfortable-very private, comfortable bed, cross-breeze coming through the windows and sooo quiet. The shower had hot water and great water pressure. It had everything we needed and more. Getting there was exciting and allows you to see more of Nosara than if you stayed in town. We preferred our location because it was quiet, yet we were able to sit at her bar and meet a couple other guests. The pool are was great for hanging out too. We loved it so much we're coming back next year...we've already decided!

K-Rae's is a rare find; a tropical garden with spectacular view, a pool, and a traditional Irish pub all situated on a hilltop in the jungle of Costa Rica! Super comfortable rooms, with high ceilings and lots of space. Just outside of the busiest parts of town, the grounds were peaceful and quiet, and still less than 15 minutes to the beach. Great place to stay!

Our room is so nice and very clean, the pool area is very relaxing and the food is so good too! Monkeys and wildlife are everywhere up this mountain and the birds are so beautiful. This place is so relaxing and quiet, we love it here and Kerri is the best helpful host ever! We definitely will be back!

Nice accommodation in the mountains. On our last day at morning we could meet the monkey’s in the trees. Very cute;-) Nosara is 10-15mins drive away. We can recommend Kerri‘s accommodation.

Stat at K-Raes! Kerri was the most hospitable host. We had a great time at the pub and the pool, and Kerri made us delicious breakfast in the beer garden with a beautiful morning view.
