The Space

The Guna Yala Islands are surrounded by coral reefs that are ideal for snorkeling. Each island has its own distinctive character and offers something different from the others.

Restaurants on the islands generally offer limited variety in food and beverages.

Guest Access

Guests may access all areas of the island except:

• Reception
• Kitchen

Important Information

Staying in our cabins means disconnecting from some everyday comforts:

• Air conditioning is not available.
• Electricity is not constant.
• The water supply may be limited.
• Guna Yala does not have a public drinking-water system. Water comes from a well and is used for showering. Please bring approximately 2 liters of drinking water, including water for brushing your teeth.
• The islands do not have shops. Restaurants generally sell only water, soda, and beer, and food options are limited.
• The islands are known for their white-sand beaches, coral reefs, and limited development by large-scale tourism.

Transportation

• You may travel in your own 4x4 vehicle or use our transportation services.
• Boat service from the port is available only during morning and afternoon hours.
• Transportation provided by us is shared and uses a six-passenger vehicle or a Hilux 4x4.
• At the port, you may wait 10 to 30 minutes to board a boat shared with other tourists.
• Itineraries may change, and pickup times can vary.
• Boat transportation is subject to availability during the designated service hours.

Fees and Recommended Items

• An entrance fee to the nature reserve applies to Panamanians, residents, and foreign visitors.
• Bring mosquito repellent, 2 liters of drinking water, a passport or identification card, a flashlight, and soap.
• Bring your own personal equipment.
