Casa Azul Barichara

As a family with a mother-in-law and brother-in-law as well as children, we always had enough space to retreat and, at the same time, enough social contact. Also very suitable as a group of friends

The house is why we booked, the people is what filled us with a deep sense of love and awe, Guillermina and Luz took such wonderful care of us, they were a delight to spend time with and their cuisine was soooooo good! We ate the most amazing fresh colombian food. It was 11 of us in the house and one day we had a total of 22 for a catered lunch from Milana (divine), the house worked so well. We had musicians, we will remember that day. We celebrated the most unforgettable of birthdays for my mom, the house framed the celebration as if we were in a dream, a most colombian dream. Pulled from a book, from a place like there are almost none, because it is not made to look like a Colombian dream, it is THE colombian dream. It is part of history and we had the honor of being part of it for a moment in time. Marcela our host is so warm and delightful!!! THANK YOU! We also hiked/jogged to neighboring towns by trails, well marked, filled with local smiles and the songs of birds. in AWE.

Excellent location, excellent facilities, very good service, everyone was very friendly.

Our stay at Casa Azul was more than pleasant. A great place to rest and be with family. The house is located near the church and a very close distance from restaurants and other places of interest in Barichara. Doña Guille is definitely a sweetheart, she helped us and guided us in the house and made our stay comfortable and pleasant. I would definitely go back to Casa Azul! Highly recommended.

Marcela, the host, is very friendly. The house has an unbeatable location, just a block from the main park. It is spacious, very comfortable and beautiful, with six rooms, each with its own bathroom. The pool is spectacular and perfect to enjoy and relax. Barichara is an absolutely charming place, it makes you want to come back!

Beautiful House. Marcela was just great communicating before and during our stay, helped us to arrange transfers. The personell at the house were also extremely friendly and helpful. We will definitely come back. The house is a paradise in Barichara.

We had a great stay at this beautiful home. Guille was amazing and she looked after us really well. Sourcing food and breakfast and we paid extras at the end. Every morning was stress free with her help. We really appreciate what she did for us. She even sourced fresh chamomile for my partners swollen leg. She truly went above and beyond. The pool and view were breathtaking. Thank you for the wonderful experience in this beautiful town

Marcela's house was a real favorite: it has the rare combination of being ideally located in the center of Barichara with a bird's eye view of the church while being in a very quiet environment. In addition, it is tastefully decorated, and Guille the housekeeper treated us like royalty. We had a great time, and we left wanting to extend the stay: we would be delighted to go back.
