Gorda Vista is perched on a mountainside surrounded by lush jungle, overlooking Dominicalito Beach. At 564 feet elevation, it enjoys pleasant cooling breezes from both the ocean and mountains. The property is fully private and secure, enclosed by a 10-foot (3-meter) security and privacy fence with a grand, electrically operated entrance gate.
The estate is home to abundant wildlife, including howler and white-faced monkeys, toucans, hawks, hummingbirds, songbirds, doves, and butterflies.

The 45-foot infinity edge lap pool includes a wider section near the house featuring a raised table and two tiled sunken chairs—ideal for relaxing with cocktails while watching the sunset over the ocean.

It was a great place. The only thing pictures don’t show is that the bedroom doors are outside. The main part of house is downstairs and bedrooms are upstairs. If I had younger kids, I may have been a little nervous. Other than that, great surroundings. Woke up to howler monkeys and toucans each morning. The patio and pool was where we spent most of our time.

Doug and Janet were fabulous! Proactive and friendly hosts! Their place is AMAZING! It was private, beautiful, clean, and exactly as described!!! 8 minutes from the beach, grocery, and a great lunch spot, The Bakery. Concierge service is spot on and very helpful! Just tell them what you want and they make it happen. Loved being able to have this place all to ourselves with the pool while also being able to book activities through their service. Very private all inclusive type vibes! We felt safe and secure. Definitely need a 4x4. Once you learn the path up, it's pretty easy. Costa Rica is an amazing place! I definitely recommend Dominical and Doug & Janet's place if you are looking for more of a local vibe. Don't look any further, BOOK IT! You won't regret it!

Awesome house and location. Floor plan worked great! Pool was large, inviting, clean, and used often. Outdoor living space was top notch. Better in person than pictures. Great place for 1 or 2 couples, which is hard to find in the area. Everything was above our expectations! We look forward to a return visit!

We loved this Airbnb! It is nestled in the most stunning setting, with a private pool, gorgeous landscaping, and painting-worthy views of the ocean and sunset. Our 9-year spent about 6 hours each day in the pool … he would have spent 18 if we’d let him! The hosts are super friendly and helpful. We also loved the nearby town of Dominical and its restaurants. Our only regret is not having more time here

This property is beautiful! The landscaping all around the house is spectacular with the lower area opening up to the lovely patio & pristine pool! I loved waking up early & drinking my coffee on the patio, enjoying the view, listening to the jungle waking up, the birds singing & the Howler monkeys making their distinct sound! It is an adventure driving up to the place, more so during this time, after heavy rains had made the mile long dirt road in poor condition. After a few times making the trip & with dry conditions, the trip got easier! There are several nice & unique restaurants in the area, La Parcela, where the white faced monkeys make a visit & entertain you if you are there around 5 pm, Fuegos in Dominical has the best pizza I have ever had, and it is worth a trip to the Manuel Antonio area, to eat at the restaurant built around a plane, the El Avion. We had a wonderful experience ziplining with the Titi Canopy Tour & visiting the Nauyaca Waterfall Nature Park!
