Villa Almendra is a peaceful retreat designed for relaxing and spending time with family or friends. This private family home features three air-conditioned bedrooms arranged in three independent modules, set within a spacious 2,100-square-meter tropical garden.
The villa is a 10–12-minute drive from Tamarindo Beach and is also close to Playa Langosta, Playa Avellanas, Playa Grande, and Playa Conchal.
The Space
Casa Almendra is a Balinese-style villa surrounded by a lush tropical garden. Accommodating up to nine guests, it offers three air-conditioned bedrooms, each with a spacious private bathroom and large bay windows overlooking the garden and swimming pools.
The sleeping arrangements are distributed as follows:
- The first module includes one bedroom with a king-size bed.
- The second module includes one bedroom with a queen-size bed.
- The third module features one bedroom with a king-size bed and one single bed, along with an open-air shower for a distinctive outdoor experience.
The villa also includes a fully equipped kitchen that opens onto a large 72-square-meter rancho, serving as the living and dining area.

Our family had the privilege of staying in this house for two weeks, and we have extraordinary memories of it. The property is simply stunning! Spacious, impeccable, perfectly equipped, and nestled in a beautiful environment, it offers all the desired comfort for a successful vacation. This is the perfect place for a family looking for a real change of scenery, exceptional comfort, and an authentic tropical experience. The house is located in a safe area, while being a few minutes from Tamarindo and close to the most beautiful attractions in the area. Our family of 5 had plenty of space to hang out , cook , play in the pool and enjoy the surrounding nature. The location was private and off the beaten path. It allowed us to explore different beaches and the town of Tamarindo. The host was so helpful with any and all questions. The beds in all the rooms were comfortable. The separation of the bedrooms and bathrooms allowed everyone to have their privacy. The home was exactly as described. You will need a car at this location.

We loved our 11 day stay in Casa Almendra! We had lots of excursions and long days during our trip. Every night coming back to this house was a treat. Two pools to relax in, a family of green parakeets hanging out nearby, and four iguanas basking in the sun. This house had everything we could’ve asked for! Check-in was easy, host responded quickly, property was beautiful and is private! My #1 concern before arriving was mosquitos. Although I was bit on excursions in the jungle, I saw exactly 0 mosquitos at the house during our stay! Don’t fear the outdoor living area, it’s incredible and you won’t get bit! Having both the flat-top and a grill made our meals easy, especially for a larger group. All appliances worked exactly as stated. This is my third time in Costa Rica and I’d be excited to spend my fourth visit at Casa Almendra for a second time! Pura vida

This place is truly almost paradise! The outdoor area was beautiful and peaceful, the perfect spot to relax and unwind. Both pools were great and the gardener came 3 days a week. We had the visit of lizards, chicken and a cat 😊 The bedrooms were clean, comfortable, and all had a private bathroom. Each had a TV and AC which worked very well. The common area was spacious and welcoming, and the grill was amazing, we used it a lot and loved it! We also really appreciated the extras like the baby cot and highchair, plus the surfboard, the beach towels and small coolers for beach days. The biggest drawback was the kitchen. It’s quite compact and, without air conditioning, it can get extremely hot. An upgrade there would make this place absolutely perfect. Also the common bathroom didn't work and a few plugs also. Claire was always very responsive and helpful and the welcome basket with fruits and coffee was such a nice touch! We really felt welcome and would recommend!

Claire was very helpful and responsive during our stay and available when we needed. The house was better than expected and Claire provided a few extra things we may need to make our stay easier. She also provided beach, restaurant, and excursion recommendations. Would definitely come back and stay here.

We had a fabulous time!! The setting was peaceful and the landscaping was beautiful! We loved the outdoor living space! The pool was awesome!! We saw iguanas daily and heard the howler monkeys in the morning and evening. A true Costa Rica experience!!
