The Space
Welcome to the Firefly Surfer's Hut, a unique two-story retreat located right on the beach where the tropical forest meets the ocean. This charming hut offers a rustic, tropical experience in a spectacular and private setting.
The first level opens to a common living area featuring a sofa bed with a trundle underneath, comfortably accommodating two guests in single beds. This space also includes a small dining table and a desk. The fully equipped kitchen on the ground floor allows you to prepare meals at your convenience. Water from the faucet is safe to drink, thanks to a private well on the property.
A cozy window seat with comfortable pillows provides a perfect spot to enjoy views of the lush garden and ocean waves. The bathroom and shower have outside entrances, and there is an additional outdoor shower for a refreshing experience.
A walking path along the side of the hut leads to a private back area with a couch for lounging and a table ideal for meals, board games, or relaxing activities. From this outdoor space, a staircase ascends to the master bedroom, which comfortably sleeps two and offers stunning ocean views. The master bedroom overlooks part of the kitchen below through a secure opening in the floor, allowing guests to communicate between levels.
A laundry area equipped with a washing machine and a clothesline is available for all guests.

The hut is situated a short walk from town, where you will find grocery stores, restaurants, and shops. The property is nestled in lush gardens filled with wildlife, creating a tranquil environment.

The area around the property is truly gorgeous; I have never seen such a beautiful sunrise! You can hike along the coast really well and don't encounter many people (only the sea is very loud). I mainly relaxed in the garden at the property and enjoyed the scenery; for example, I saw coatis and capuchin monkeys. The pool was also very clean and wonderfully refreshing.

The location of the cabin is great and as described.. the cabin is very rustic and everything works. The staff were really helpful and responsive. we did have a good stay. However we felt uncomfortable having to go outside along the edge of the property to enter the bathroom - which was inconvenient for a trip in the middle of the night in the bedroom. If we had known this finer detail we would have looked into this further. If you’re up for an adventure with a beach cabin with no frills but amazing location and staff. then this is for you :)

The location is perfect!!! The beach right across the street, the pool, hammocks…!!! The house has everything you need to be comfortable, however, some amenities, especially on the bedroom and the outdoor areas remain to be done in my opinion to make everything perfect! The layout of the cabin requires systematically going outside to go to the different rooms (toilet, shower, bedroom...) but we didn't mind.
