An amazing beach house for rest and relaxation. The vibe of the house is just that of a beach house with everything I need and in a location close to everything.

The photos describe the place but feels more like marketing than anything else. The living area which is open becomes almost unbearable in the heat, the wifi was very flaky and whatever was used on the pool cause skin issues and turned 3 girls hair green. Never had issues with chlorine in a pool before yet this one ruined clothes, hair and caused serious irritation. I was told by the host it was within the “parameters” but there was no transparency about how much was put and it wasn’t measured until a problem was mentioned two days later after heavy rain. Ended up being a very expensive vacation.

Our experience at Playa Hermosa was excellent! Carlos was an extremely responsive host which made our stay so much easier and more comfortable! The house was wonderful for our large group. The beach was very accessible and the house itself was comfortable and spacious. Chef Lisa and her entire crew cooked some of the most amazing meals we’ve ever had and was very affordable!Overall, we had a wonderful and memorable trip and for a very large family, that’s not an easy task! We would recommend this home to anyone traveling to Jaco! Pura Vida!

The house was everything we thought it would be from the pictures. Carlos was amazing before and during our trip. He helped set up excursions, private chef, driver, and airport transfers. We added an excursion last minute and it was perfect. Whenever we needed anything, Carlos was quick to respond.

What an amazing experience staying at Carlos and Nicole’s beautiful home. From the moment we booked, until arrival, the hosts were so kind and responsive. The house is right on the sand. There are 3 restaurants next door and a little store 600 feet away. Abby is the nicest house keeper ever and comes daily to tidy up and take out trash. Carlos had a guy for everything- rides, tours, chefs, etc.

We could not have asked for a better host. Carlos was so friendly and super helpful. From planning activities weeks before arrival, planning transportation, making reservations at the restaurant of our choice, and arranging a massage therapist to come to the property per our request. The house was very clean, in a safe area with direct access to the beach. If I am ever in the Jaco area again I will be a repeat customer!

We were a group of 4 couples celebrating a birthday. Casa Mar was absolutely fabulous. Great communication our hosts in the months before our arrival with helpful tips. Nicole and Carlos were wonderful hosts helping arrange our horseback ride/waterfall trip and massages at the house. The beach is directly in front of the beautiful verandah and allows for great surf watching. Open air kitchen was fabulous and the pool was a gathering spot for our group. Rooms were clean and comfortable and it was a bonus being able to hear the waves at night. The layout was so good for everyone to have space on their own and roomy enough for our together time. Several restaurants within walking distance to choose from. Short drive into Jaco for groceries and shopping. Carlos was readily available for help and Lovely Abigail provided daily cleaning. Highly recommend for any group travelling to beautiful Costa Rica!
