The Space
Relax at this peaceful and distinctive retreat nestled in the lush jungle of Costa Rica. Casa Vida is situated in the hills of the sunny Guanacaste province. A majestic Guanacaste tree by the pool is home to a family of monkeys, adding to the natural charm of the property.
This immaculately constructed guesthouse is ideal for couples or small families seeking a memorable and unique experience. We strongly recommend having a vehicle, preferably a 4x4 or at least an SUV, to fully enjoy your stay.
The house is furnished with a harmonious blend of local design and craftsmanship by a skilled carpenter. The gated property includes a spacious parking area that can accommodate multiple cars.
The entrance opens to a fully equipped kitchen designed by a professional chef, providing everything needed to prepare anything from light poolside snacks to gourmet meals. The dining table seats six guests and offers spectacular views of the ocean and valley through the house’s glass facade.
Large sliding doors open widely, blending indoor and outdoor living spaces. This design allows natural light to fill the living room, where you can relax on the cozy couch with a coffee while enjoying the surrounding nature.
Casa Vida features two bedrooms and two full bathrooms. The main bedroom includes a king-size bed, flat-screen TV, ample closet space, blackout blinds, and an ensuite bathroom. The second bedroom, located opposite the main bedroom, is furnished with a queen-size bed, a desk, blackout blinds, and closet space.
Both bedrooms have large sliding doors facing west that open onto a teak deck terrace, which hosts the pool and BBQ area. The terrace guarantees incredible sunset views.

Casa Vida is perched on the hills near the town of Pinilla and is a short drive from some of Guanacaste’s most stunning beaches, including:
- Playa Avellanas (10 minutes)
- Playa Negra (15 minutes)
Tamarindo, a vibrant tourist town with numerous restaurants, shops, and nightlife options, is less than 20 minutes away. Liberia International Airport is approximately a one-hour drive from the property.

A beautiful stay! The setting is super private, a bit far away, but that's exactly why it feels like your own total escape. Every morning we woke up seeing parrots and monkeys, which made the experience much more unique. Private pool, air conditioning in the living room and bedroom, kitchen with everything you need. Super comfortable at all times. It's close to Playa Avellanas to watch the sunset 🌅 Highly recommended if you're looking for peace, nature and to really disconnect!

The stay was a wonderful experience. Francisco, the manager, was very kind, communicated proactively, and gave us clear instructions. Also, they gave us the opportunity to check in early. The place is great. Yes, a 4x4 or an SUV is better since it's in the middle of the mountain. If you are looking for a beautiful place but away from the noise, surrounded by monkeys, this is the place to be. Avellanas Beach is nearby. You can go to Junquillal, Playa Blanca, Playa Callejones, and if you're looking for a good spot for the sunset, go to the viewpoint between Playa Blanca and Calmejones. The house is impeccable, tidy and very well equipped. We would gladly stay here again.

The house is very nice, comfortable and very well equipped. Everything was spotlessly clean, and you can see the care they put into every detail of the cleaning. It's very easy to access and the location is excellent: perfect for relaxing and resting, but at the same time close to several beaches and places to visit. The hosts were always very attentive, friendly and helpful, making sure our stay was as pleasant as possible. We would definitely recommend this place and would stay here again. Thank you so much for the excellent experience!

Noras’s place was so beautiful and we really enjoyed our stay. I look forward to booking our next stay here again! Very remote location but the view and sounds of the area are beyond me! 10/10 Definitely will need some type of SUV tho!

The place itself is really great just two things I can knock it on. First, it is very very isolated and located far away from Tamarindo. It’s at least 30 minutes to get there. You will also need a 4WD vehicle as there’s a very long stretch of dirt roads to reach the house. Second, there were a lot of bugs. Ants all over the kitchen, spiders on the walls, wasps all over the pool and deck area. I killed four scorpions during my stay here. Neither of these things knock how beautiful the property itself is, but it did impact my stay. Francisco was very helpful and responsive and we still had a great time.

Our stay was simply excellent. From the very beginning, we loved the privacy of the place, which made the experience even more special and relaxing. The Airbnb is superbly equipped, with everything you need to enjoy a worry-free stay, and you can tell that every detail has been thought out for guests' comfort. It definitely exceeded our expectations. We had a very pleasant experience and would definitely come back. Highly recommended!

A little slice of heaven if you love nature, monkeys, squirrels, and birds. The house is as described in every way. Make sure you have a good car and don't forget anything, because it takes 25 minutes to get to Tamarindo.
