The Space

Located on a private, gated property in Matapalo, this modern jungle home offers a peaceful combination of nature, privacy, and convenience. Wake to tropical birdsong, enjoy coffee surrounded by greenery, and walk a short distance to a quiet beach.

The home is well suited to families, couples, and small groups. Spend your time exploring or relaxing at your own pace. Nearby activities include:

• Surfing
• Boogie boarding
• Zip-lining
• Horseback riding
• Waterfall exploration
• Wildlife watching

You may also choose to unwind beside the private pool and enjoy the surrounding jungle. In the evenings, fireflies often illuminate the lawn.

Matapalo is a small, authentic Costa Rican village with several local shops and restaurants. The expansive beach remains largely undiscovered, and you can walk for hours while encountering only a handful of people.

For additional dining, activities, and entertainment, take a short drive to Dominical, the vibrant beach town of Uvita, or Manuel Antonio National Park, which is known for its abundant wildlife and beautiful beaches. The property is close to many attractions while remaining away from the crowds.

A 200-meter path lined with palm and mango trees leads to the beach. Monkeys, sloths, iguanas, toucans, and many varieties of tropical birds may be visible along the path or on the property itself.

Inside, the home includes:

• A private pool

• Spacious rain showers

The property is fully fenced and secured by an electric gate.

The on-site caretaker, Fatima, lives in a separate home on the property with her husband and young son. She is available to help while respecting your privacy. A friendly dog and cat also live on the property, adding to its welcoming, home-like atmosphere.

Guest Access

Guests have full, private access to the entire main home, including:

• The private pool
• Outdoor living areas
• Backyard spaces
• Fire pit
• Life-size outdoor chess set for adult use

The pool is exclusively for your use. The backyard provides a comfortable setting for relaxing in the evenings.

The property is fully gated and fenced, offering privacy and security throughout your stay.

Near the entrance is a separate caretaker home where Fatima lives with her husband and young son. She can assist with local recommendations, tour and excursion arrangements, or other needs during your stay while respecting your privacy.

Four small studio units are also located near the entrance. They are positioned well away from the main house, and the home, pool, and backyard remain private and are not shared. Most guests find that the layout provides a high level of privacy within a safe, well-managed property.

Other Things to Note

To help protect guests and their belongings:

• The property is enclosed by a fence and secured with a locked gate.
• Cameras monitor the exterior of all four sides of the house. Upon request, they can be turned off for the duration of your stay.
• The grounds are continually being enhanced with flowering plants, trees, and bushes, while repairs and improvements are also carried out. Fatima will request your permission before workers enter the property during your stay unless there is an emergency.
• Fatima, the co-host and caretaker, lives near the front entrance with her husband and young son. She is available to welcome you and answer questions during your stay. You are also welcome to contact the host directly.
• Fatima has two friendly dogs and a cat that live on the property. In Costa Rica, dogs and cats commonly roam freely. One of the dogs also serves as a safety dog and may sometimes accompany guests to the beach as a companion.
• Neighboring homes also have dogs, and not all of them are friendly. Please avoid interacting with other dogs unless their owner is present and gives permission.
