Very cozy place near the Old Bank and the nature. The host was very friendly, helpful and eager to give good local recommendations. The only minus was the smoke from a neighbour burning trashes on the first night, but after that we had a lovely stay at the cabin.

We stayed here for a month. If you’re looking for a beautiful jungle cabin with nearby beaches, this is the spot! We walked to Wizard beach every day, which is gorgeous. It’s a 25 minute walk on a trail through the jungle. It was a wonderful daily routine. The cabin has the basic necessities for a long term stay. The bed is comfy. I recommend this place for a good value stay in Bastimentos!

This is jungle living with a few modern amenities (wifi, fridge, stove...) I love the outdoor shower even though a few unwanted bugs joined me a couple of times; but what do you expect in the jungle. Yes there are screens for the space but you are still outside. I appreciated grabbing lime trees from the backyard, butterfly ginger flowers and verbain from the front, and making tea from sangria leaves. I often bought jackfruit, biribap, and gallons of fresh coconut water from the locals. Come and appreciate the experience of Bastimentos. You must do the BoticaBasti plant identification walk when you come. Zuly will teach you how there is an abundance of food and healing plants all around you. I realized I was here for 3 weeks before getting into a car or being in an indoor space. It's a different living reality.

Il y a des choses à améliorer, spécialement les matelas . Tout est dans une seule pièce (lits, cuisine) , espace ok pour 2 , pas davantage. Vivre dans cette île authentique est vraiment une belle expérience

This cabin is simple yet welcoming! The view looking over Bastimentos cay is stunning and the house is tucked in the jungle yet so close to town. The cabin manager was very responsive to anything we needed and was so friendly! We loved calling this place home for a month and enjoyed the sunny peace, bird songs and the big porch where we spent most of our time. A truly special stay, in a magical location.

The view is amazing, we loved our stay in bastimento (old bank). Super relaxed vibe, nature everywhere you look and the locals were super friendly ♡ . Taisha’s place was just as listed. Simple, laidback beauty with lush surroundings. Yogo, who greeted us on our arrival was super helpful and generous, very diligent and always happy to help with anything we asked. We really enjoyed our walks to the amazing wizard beach. We hope to comeback, the place felt like our home for a month.

Das Häuschen war sehr schwierig zu finden.Die Wegbeschreibung ungenügend. Da steht wir sollten einfach Einheimische fragen.Leider kannte niemand den Ort,wir haben zig Leute gefragt.Schlussendlich hatten wir etwa 6/7 Menschen um uns herum bis jemand eine Ahnung hatte wo wir hin müssen. Der Weg dort hinauf mit Gepäck ist extrem mühsam.Zum Glück ist jemand mitgekommen und hat laut gerufen bis ein Herr aus dem Nachbarhaus gekommen ist. Er hat dann nach langem zureden endlich geholfen die Koffer hochzutragen. Wir haben ihm ein sehr gutes Trinkgeld gegeben.Wir mussten ihn nochmals rufen weil in der Küche der Abfluss undicht war,das hat er sofort erledigt. Dann haben wir niemanden mehr gesehen bis die Nachbarin kam und behauptet hat wir würden das Wasser laufen lassen.Sie hat das solange behauptet bis wir sie ins Haus gelassen haben,damit sie sich selbst überzeugen konnte,dass dem nicht so war. Daraufhin hat sie uns das Wasser abgestellt.Ihr Mann hat uns einen Kübel mit Wasser gebracht. 2 Tage lang hatten wir dann nur sehr,sehr wenig Wasser dann lief es wieder normal. Gesehen haben wir auch niemand mehr.Einen kleinen Bund Bananen haben wir noch erhalten. Bei der Abreise war weit und breit niemand. Das Häuschen wäre an sich hüpsch,es fehlen bequeme Sitzgelegenheiten. Die Lage ist auch ok.

This place was incredible. The view outside the door is breathtaking. It’s near a path to an incredible coffee shop called Up in the Hill. Comfortable bed too. The island of Bastimentos is amazing, and I highly recommend this place!

A perfect cabin, with all the amenities you could ask for, tucked away on Basimentos. The place was great, awesome view. It was a perfect getaway to finish our trip after months of traveling and staying in cramped hostels with lots of other people. The people on the island are extremely friendly too!
