The Space
You will have full access to the entire property, including both the upstairs main residence and the downstairs studio apartment. Casa Markissa is a two-level home:

Upstairs: The main residence features two bedrooms and two full bathrooms. It boasts high wooden ceilings, luxury vinyl flooring that is soft underfoot, and beautiful sliding doors that open onto a covered wooden deck. The master bedroom includes a walk-in closet, while the second bedroom has a built-in closet. The large kitchen is equipped with KitchenAid appliances. Additional amenities on this floor include a laundry room, sauna, and pool.

Downstairs: A studio apartment with a king bed, its own laundry facilities, closet, covered balcony, full bathroom, and kitchen.
Each floor has a separate entrance and parking space, but they can also be connected internally by stairs.

- Only 7 minutes from the beach
- Recommended to rent a 4x4 vehicle for easier access to the property
Additional Information
The backup power system covers all lighting on the upper floor, Wi-Fi router, outlets in the master bedroom, bathroom, kitchen, and the refrigerator. Power outages can occur more frequently here than in the US or Europe, so this system ensures basic electricity during such times.
The host lives in the house for part of the year to maintain the property and ensure it is well-prepared for guests.

Guests have exclusive use of the entire villa, including both the main residence and the studio apartment. Please feel free to make yourself at home.
Other Things to Note
This is a private home, not a hotel. Guests are asked to treat the space with respect. While the host is available to assist with any issues, there is no on-site staff present 24/7. Please notify the host promptly if any problems arise.

A beautiful home and unbelievable view to wake up to each day! The location is private and yet only 10 minutes to Uvita. The host is super helpful and very responsive. I would stay here again without hesitation.

This place is absolutely amazing! If you are deciding between this place and something else, choose this place! The location is close enough to everything you need, yet far away enough to feel private, relaxed, and like you are in the midst of the rainforest. Coffee in the early mornings as you listen to the howler monkeys each morning was unforgettable. Olga was a great host and was responsive and proactive throughout our entire trip. I would move here in a heartbeat. No wonder a lot of expats move to Costa Rica. The food, the people, the environment are all beautiful!

The house and the surroundings look just as shown in the photos. The view is beautiful. The house has a unique style and is extremely cozy, with everything and more than what we needed for an extremely comfortable stay. The host is very friendly and responds quickly to all inquiries. I definitely recommend it.

We had an amazing stay! The view was absolutely breathtaking and one of the highlights of our trip. The host was incredibly kind, responsive, and went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable. Since it was rainy during our stay, she even arranged for someone to bring us umbrellas, which was such a thoughtful gesture. The home was beautiful, peaceful, and exactly what we were looking for. We would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting the area.
