The Space
Hefziba is situated on the tranquil and scenic Ometepe Island in Rivas, Nicaragua. The property is located on the outskirts of Moyogalpa, approximately a 15 to 20-minute walk from the town center or a 5-minute mototaxi ride from the port.
Hefziba offers seven rooms for guests. This listing refers to Room 5, a small air-conditioned room featuring two double beds that can accommodate up to four guests. The room includes a private bathroom.
Please note that hot water showers are not available. WiFi is provided but may have limited strength, so plan accordingly if you intend to work during your stay. Breakfast is available for an additional fee.
We kindly ask guests to respect the property, including rooms and appliances. Any damages may result in charges to cover repair costs. We strive to be fair and appreciate your cooperation.
During Your Stay
While I spend considerable time on Ometepe, this is not my permanent residence. The property belongs to my grandmother, who you may meet if she is not in Managua. My cousin Augustin lives here full-time and will be available to assist you on-site, supported by our on-call translator.
Since my family on the island does not speak English, I help manage reservations and communication before your arrival to ensure a smooth experience. Hosting is a family effort, and we hope you recognize and appreciate the care we put into making you feel at home.

The truth is that the place is better in the pool area than inside the rooms, the bathroom needs a complete renovation, the pipes need to be cleaned, the bathroom always had a bad smell of sewage, for the price of almost $65 a night I don't think it's worth it, I've been to other places both in Nicaragua and in the rest of the world and I had never paid so much for so little and I'm not saying that I would have wanted something luxurious but if they are going to rent something for the price of $65 per night, at least it should be a little cozy and more so when I refer to the time one uses the bathroom, the tiles and everything in the bathroom is so old that no matter how well they clean it, it will always look dirty, recommendation for the owners, remodel the bathrooms ah and please a little more pressure when using the shower and the sink, in the shower there was hardly any water, and one more point I had to go outside to brush my teeth there was no water pressure in the sink

A great place to stay ran by a local family. Very spacious and clean rooms and free tea and coffee which is nice. The location is a little out from the main centre but we didn’t mind the walk and there’s a nice local restaurant a couple mins walk away.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Cynthia's! The space is comfortable and well appointed. Note that the shower is not super efficient (and it is cold), but it was as described. The pool is simply beautiful, a real haven of peace to relax. Lunch was delicious, with fresh and typical produce. The hosting was warm and thoughtful. We highly recommend this place (good value for the money)

Eveything was just fine except some little details: when we got there, there was no one at the lobby, we got only two towels even though the reservation was for 3 adults, our tv had to be changed and the AC was not working; everything was solved by the friendly staff that’s why I give it a four, bc sometimes u want everything to be set. The location is amazing, close to the main landmarks, staff was responsive.

We had a great stay at Cynthia’s Airbnb! There is parking available for our ATVs which made us feel a lot safer about leaving them at night. The staff at the hotel were super helpful and kind! There’s a lovely outdoor space to relax with beautiful gardens, very well-kept by the groundskeeper. Our room was very clean, and had all the amenities listed on the Airbnb. There was fresh water and coffee outside in the main area which we greatly appreciated. We only spent one night here, but wish we had more time! I would highly my recommend this Airbnb, and hope to visit again in the future.
