Fully equipped for both short- and long-term stays, this peaceful retreat is designed for relaxing and enjoying Nicaragua’s coast.

The Space

Spend a few days—or longer—in this modern solar home featuring two bedrooms, two bathrooms, and a range of modern comforts.

• The main-floor bedroom includes a queen-size bed.
• The upper-floor bedroom features a unique double bunk bed.
• Each bedroom has its own three-piece bathroom.
• The upper-floor bedroom has a separate entrance from the main floor.
• The lower-floor living area includes a Roku television.
• Guests have access to the entire home during their stay.

Solar Power

The home operates entirely on solar power.

• Keep the air conditioning at no lower than 28°C (88°F) and use the low-fan or eco setting in the evening after 4 p.m., when the sun begins to set and the home runs on battery power.
• During the day, when the sun is strongest, the temperature may be lowered to 21°C.
• Close the sliding glass doors between the kitchen and bedroom while sleeping to conserve battery power.

Guests must provide their own charcoal. Charcoal is also available at the store just outside the resort.

Rooftop Terrace

Sliding doors from the upper floor open onto a rooftop terrace with beautiful sunset and ocean views. Handmade patio furniture provides a comfortable place to relax, enjoy a drink, and take in the surrounding scenery.

Guest Access

Guests have full access to the entire home throughout their stay.

Community Facilities

Guests have access to:

• Four miles of private beach
• Three swimming pools near the main reception area

Resort Fee

Gran Pacifica charges a resort fee to all guests staying within the community. This fee is paid at the front gate upon arrival.

• $17 plus VAT per night, totaling $19.55 per night
• The fee applies for up to seven days
• No additional resort fees are charged after seven days

Early Check-In and Late Check-Out

Please contact co-host Lindsay to inquire about availability and specify the number of hours requested.

• $25 for up to three hours
• Payment is made in cash upon arrival

• Surfing, with additional fees for board rentals and lessons
• Surf lessons arranged through the co-host or resort

• Soccer field, available for an additional fee
• Nine-hole golf course, available for an additional fee

• Yoga classes on Saturday mornings, available for an additional fee
• On-site award-winning restaurant
• One-hour in-house massage for $20, arranged through the co-host

Electric golf carts are available to rent through the resort reception. They are recommended for guests without their own vehicle.

A $200 damage deposit is required for the electric golf carts.

Each cart includes a cable that plugs into a standard electrical outlet for charging. Carts must be charged at the golf cart garage, as there is no charging station near the house.

A four-person gas-powered golf cart may also be available upon request. Please inquire with the co-host.

Additional Golf Cart Pricing

A $100 refundable damage deposit is required.

• Daily, 24-hour period: $35, plus $5 per additional hour
• Weekly: $175
• Monthly: $450

The home provides convenient access to several destinations in Nicaragua:

• Managua, the capital: 1 hour 20 minutes away
• Granada, the colonial city: 2 hours 20 minutes away
• León, the historic city: 1 hour 30 minutes away
• Flor de Caña Rum Factory: 2 hours 14 minutes away

Farmers’ Market and Local Products

A farmers’ market takes place on Thursday afternoons from approximately 3 to 4 p.m. Yocate Farms, a local organic farm, visits the community to sell fresh vegetables and locally produced items.

Orders are typically placed before Thursday to ensure availability for Friday pickup. The market is held at the beach palapa near the front reception area. Availability and orders can be viewed through Mike the Farmer’s website.

A local resident also sells freshly made bread, bagels, treats, and organic coffee.

Groceries, Food, and Shopping

Sea Salt, the on-site restaurant and bar, serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner.

Abierto Hoy, a general store located one minute outside the gates, offers a selection of:

• Fruits and vegetables
• Spices and sauces
• Bread and pasta
• Snacks
• Non-alcoholic and alcoholic beverages
• Other essential items

Alice’s bar and restaurant is next to Abierto Hoy and serves lunch, dinner, and drinks.

There are no larger grocery stores near Gran Pacifica.

House Maintenance

Please use the outside hose to rinse sand from your body and belongings before using the showers. This helps prevent sand from clogging the drains.

Keeping the Home Ant-Free

Because the home is located in a warm climate, ants are naturally attracted to food and crumbs left out.

Please help keep the home comfortable by:

• Not leaving food uncovered
• Cleaning up crumbs and spills immediately
• Wiping counters and tables after meals

House Rules

• Smoking is not permitted inside the house.

Washing Machine

The washing machine is not available to short-term guests. It may be used only by guests staying seven days or longer.

Guests are responsible for any damage or repair costs resulting from use of the washing machine. Laundry detergent is not provided.

Gas Utilities

Long-term guests are responsible for replacing or refilling the gas tank if it runs out during their stay.
