Overview
Villa Paradiso del Mar is a luxurious five-bedroom, five-and-a-half-bathroom home in a gated community in Playa Hermosa. Upon entering, guests are welcomed by spectacular Pacific Ocean views extending toward the heated pool and spacious outdoor area.
The villa includes five generously sized bedrooms, each with a private bathroom. The expansive master suite also features a private balcony overlooking the ocean.
The hosts have rented the villa and traveled throughout the area since 2019, developing extensive local knowledge. Pura Vida!
The Space
The villa is well suited to large groups and families, offering multiple sleeping arrangements across several levels. This layout provides opportunities for both shared time and privacy.
Each bedroom is named after an animal native to Costa Rica and identified outside its door with local Costa Rican artwork.
Main Floor
The main floor includes two bedrooms, each with ocean views and a private en suite bathroom:
- Sloth Room: Queen-size bed and private patio access.
- Turtle Room: King-size bed, private office area, and small balcony.
Upper Level
The upper level features the master suite and a small apartment with a kitchenette.
- Macaw Room: A spacious master bedroom with a large, covered private patio and impressive ocean views. The en suite bathroom includes a separate shower, soaking tub, and dual-sink vanity. Additional features include a large walk-in closet, 44-inch smart television, and sitting area.
- Toucan Apartment Suite: Two twin beds that can be converted into a king bed, a queen-size Murphy bed, and a private sitting area. The suite also includes a private bathroom and a small kitchen area available for guest use.
Detached Fifth Bedroom
- Monkey Room: A detached garden-level bedroom accessed from the lower patio via an outdoor spiral staircase. It includes two queen-size beds, a private en suite bathroom, and a large closet. Huge windows provide ocean and jungle views and a tropical atmosphere.
This room may not be suitable for guests who are uncomfortable using stairs or being somewhat separated from the main living area.
Outdoor Areas and Parking
The villa offers a large patio with a heated pool overlooking the Pacific Ocean. The pool is heated but is not a jacuzzi.
Parking is available in the two-car garage, with one additional outdoor parking space.
Internet and Entertainment
The home is equipped with Starlink high-speed Wi-Fi throughout, with download speeds of more than 200 Mbps.
The living room entertainment system includes:
- A 75-inch smart television.
- An Apple TV box.
- Access to a United States VPN network, allowing guests to log in to their apps and watch live television, sports, movies, and more.
Guest Access
Guests have access to the entire home, patio, pool, driveway, and garage. Two secured owners’ closets are not accessible to guests.
Additional Information
- The home is professionally cleaned and disinfected to the highest standards after every guest’s stay.
- The property is arranged across multiple levels, with numerous steps throughout the interior and exterior.
- Steps lead to the pool, lower patio, and detached fifth bedroom.
- The front entrance and driveway area, as well as the back patio and pool area, are equipped with Ring security cameras.

We loved our stay! The rooms were all beautiful and we had plenty of space! The house was an easy drive from several beaches and lots of great restaurants. We loved the beautiful birds who visited everyday and even saw some monkeys on a tree across the street from the house one morning. Thank you for sharing this beautiful home!

Our family absolutely loved our stay. Fantastic pool, sunbathing area, outdoor grill, and a fully stocked kitchen. Rooms were large and well-appointed with incredible views, particularly from the second-floor master, which may be the biggest bedroom I’ve ever seen. Breakfast outside was a daily highlight with visits from spider monkeys, an iguana, and tropical birds. The white-throated magpie jays showed up like clockwork. The property is in a gated, secured neighborhood just SE of Playa Hermosa. Driveways are very steep by US standards (12-21 degrees) but safe and manageable. Walking to the beach isn’t really practical given the grade and heat. We tried it once and the uphill return was tough. That said, it’s an easy 5-minute drive with free parking. Playa del Coco is 5 minutes away with more restaurants and larger grocery stores (MegaSuper, Auto Mercado). The property manager was also very responsive and easy to work with. We hope to come back!

Home was more beautiful in person than in pictures. Security and staff were friendly and helpful. Lots of local restaurants and close to beach.

Property management company does all the work and contact. They are very responsive. Check in was delayed, as the property management guy was late, when we'd been texting about our arrival. Other than that, the property management company was very responsive and SUPER helpful. Property location was great--but you should get a car. Too steep (like whoa steep!) to walk. Only 1 km to the mini mart and some great food options. View is gorgeous. Guess should know that there is virtually NO sun on the pool at any time. That was disappointing, but not the host's fault. I would have wanted to know that when booking. Did have toilet clogging issues 2x during 6 nights, but maintenance did fix quickly.

The property was absolutely perfect for our family (8 adults and one toddler). It was spacious and well-furnished. Lots of room to spread out. The outdoor space was gorgeous. We enjoyed watching the birds and monkeys!

A place I recommend 100%, the house is very spacious, the rooms are very comfortable and the beds are magnificent. Alex's service was excellent. We had a very nice weekend there. I would definitely come back.

Beautiful and especially spacious villa! We were 13 guests including 5 children and everyone was happy. For our first stop in Costa Rica after the flight, we wanted accommodation not too far from the airport. It also allowed us to be close to Rincon de la Vieja Park and La Leona Falls (55-70 min). The Zindis Group housing management company was super welcoming and caring. Alex Bustos recommended Playa Buena, a 7-minute drive away: we fell in love with this beautiful beach with soft sand, clear water and no tourists, only locals.

This house was great for our family of 13!Neighborhood is quiet,beautiful views and some monkeys and squirrels.Our family enjoyed the pool.We found a great little place down the road to eat, it was eco lodge in Playa Panama .Food was great as was service,we ate there for several meals!I felt safe my entire stay.I definitely recommend this for large families!

Our family had a great time at the house. It was a good location and with rental cars you can get to many good beaches within few minutes. The property management were very helpful and responsive. They provided groceries at a reasonable cost to get us started without going to grocery store on arrival. The house was clean and comfortable. Renting cars are a must, too steep and far for us to walk to places. Thanks again for our enjoyable stay.

We were a group of 9, all adults and this beautiful home was perfect! Every couple had a beautiful bedroom space with their own bathroom. Unbelievable view and outdoor space! Felt very safe! Everything was perfect 🤩
