We had the pleasure of staying at the Casa Kukana purely by chance! Our group flew to Puerto Vallarta with the intention of staying at different resort, but when we arrived, we did not have luck with our reserved room and needed to find alternative lodging ASAP. After narrowing down our search area to Sayulita, we came across the Casa Kukana and just our luck they could host us right away! And how lucky were we, let me tell you! Suzanne, and her daughter Summer, were able to quickly get the property ready for us and we could not have been more happily surprised! They were amazing hosts that were quick to help us out with anything we needed and had some amazing suggestions of places to check out around town as well! The house was bright, clean, roomy and absolutely gorgeous with plenty of art that definitely sets a great vibe for the whole stay. After a lovely and relaxing time here, we think we might have found a new tradition!

We had a wonderful time staying at the Moroccan. Everything we wanted to see or do was just a quick golf cart ride away. Suzanne and Taylor were very responsive. Would definitely stay again!

Where do we begin!!! So often you look through Airbnb photos and worry if it will be the same, this gorgeous home completely blew our minds. It’s so much better than the photos and the photos are also great. The hosts were awesome, the aircon cold, and the beach/town are close. The view from this home is breathtaking and we are going home so relaxed at peace. This home was perfect for our family to relax and spend quality time with each other. Thanks Suzanne & Taylor

This property is as gorgeous as the pictures suggest it would be, and the central grassy area, pagoda, pools, and lounge areas were perfect. The morning sun hit our deck and gave us a wonderful place to start the day. We really loved the fully appointed kitchen and prepared several meals at the Airbnb. It was also very convenient to town and Playa de los Muertos. The only surprise was that the music from town carried up the hill. Otherwise, it was a perfect stay and location.

I stayed at Casa Kukana with two friends and we loved it! There are so many details we really enjoyed- from the elevated built-in sofa with views of the ocean to the well-covered terrace where we ate all our meals overlooking the sunrises and sunsets. The highlights were the terrace and the garden areas but the house itself was exceptionally designed and decorated. We cooked most our meals in the lovely kitchen and spent wonderful quality time in the living area. The terrace offered spectacular views of the town of Saulyita and also of the surrounding rainforest covered hills and the beautiful Pacific Ocean. We saw whales spouting in the distance and colorful songbirds in the tree tops, all from the terrace of the house! The garden was such a relaxing place with lounge chairs, lush plantings and a dipping pool overlooking the beach below. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Casa Kukana. It was an unforgettable stay that we will treasure for years to come. Thank you to the Casa Kukana!

If you are looking for a place to stay in Sayulita that feels like a private retreat with gorgeous views and art/decor, + a feeling of being taken care of, look no further. Suzanne’s place is stunning, very thoughtfully designed, and we made memories there we’ll remember for our lifetime. It’s a little bit above Sayulita’s main town area, a 5-10 minute walk along tree-lined streets and funky cafes and hotels in order to get into the main town square. Each room is very spacious and private, each with their own bathroom and each with their own patio space outside the room. Suzanne and her team took very good care of us. From the time we first booked and she made lots of local recommendations, through to offering concierge services: arranging our airport cabs, massages, and even a drop in from Sandra, the chef, for a dinner we will always remember. When there was a small temporary glitch with the house, Suzanne immediately addressed it + offered a kind gift to make it right. 10/10

My family had the best week staying at Casa Kukana. It had the best view, most beautiful garden, and great living space. I cannot thank Suzanne enough for making us feel welcome and she helped us from start to finish. Highly recommend staying here.

When we 1st arrived our impression!! Wow! Beautiful landscape and 2 pools! Owner lives on the top section of home and there’s other units on front side were you enter that are more like a suite unit 2 beautiful pools and beautiful few like being on a mountain top looking down onto the town of Sayulita. Our unit was a 3 bedroom bungalow it was nice with beautiful view but a little dated with kitchen items. We had some hippcups with water but Suzanne did her best to manage the best she could. We ended up eating out every day but restaurants were tasty. We would definitely return we felt very safe there and view is amazing. Suzanne was very sweet and accommodating. If you want total privacy this is not for you. Staff is always there if you need something. Thank you for having us!😘
