The Space
This cozy and elegant bungalow provides a distinctive experience, ideal for working, exploring, and unwinding. Situated in an exclusive area of Cocles, it rests within a peaceful neighborhood.
Built in October 2022, the bungalow is part of a secure private property. It features two sliding glass doors that open onto the terrace, allowing a refreshing breeze to flow through the rooms. The interior includes two air conditioners for added comfort.
The bedroom is separated from the living room by an accordion door. The living room contains a sofa bed, and the bathroom offers views of the surrounding nature. The kitchen is located on the spacious terrace, where you can relax comfortably in a hammock.
Adjacent to the bungalow is a private gym offering personal training and small group sessions. Guests may use the gym by reservation, but this service is not included in the Airbnb price and requires an additional fee.
Guest Access
Guests have access to a private garden and a secure parking space. The bungalow is completely private and reserved exclusively for guests. Although the hosts live on the property, their residence is separate from the guest bungalow.
Location
The bungalow is conveniently located within a 5-minute walk of two large supermarkets and various restaurants reachable within 10 to 15 minutes on foot.
Puerto Viejo is accessible by a scenic 30 to 40-minute walk along the coastline. Alternatively, it can be reached by bicycle in 10 minutes or by car in 5 minutes. Puerto Viejo offers a vibrant Caribbean atmosphere with numerous restaurants, bars, supermarkets, bicycle and scooter rentals, and souvenir shops.
Beaches and Outdoor Activities
Cocles Beach is just a 10-minute walk away and is perfect for sunbathing, walking, swimming, or surfing. Other nearby beaches include:
- Chino Beach and Standfords Beach, known for their tranquility and suitability for children
- Punta Uva, one of the most beautiful beaches in the area, where you can rent kayaks to explore the Punta Uva River, hike to a stunning viewpoint, or enjoy the turquoise ocean waters
- Playa Negra, located on the opposite side of Puerto Viejo, famous for its distinctive black sand

The location is surrounded by nature, which makes it perfect for resting, since there is no loud outside noise, cars, motorcycles, etc. The ventilation is very good. There is a beautiful window in the bathroom with an amazing view of nature. There's a very friendly cat. Everything was 20/10. We gave him some smoked meat.

Great place, just a few minutes by car to the beach and to Puerto Viejo. The accommodation itself is quietly located in the middle of nature. Super clean and very good air conditioning. Parking on site is convenient.

Very nice Airbnb. With a beautiful garden. On the edge of the groups of houses, you don't notice other people much. The road pretty much ends at this Airbnb, so there's no traffic noise. In terms of the furnishings / nothing more and nothing less. Everything you need. My personal highlight is the animals in the garden. Sloths / agoutis / armadillos / frogs / turtles / butterflies. The whole party set. Thank you so much for letting us spend part of our journey there.

It's an amazing place. The location was within walking distance of the grocery store, restaurant, and beach. It was quiet and peaceful. A lot of wildlife to see, even just sitting on the porch and having coffee in the morning. Tamara was an awesome host. We would stay there again when we come back to Puerto Viejo.

We had an amazing time staying at this apartment. The location was fantastic: close to everything we wanted to explore, yet peaceful and quiet at night. The host was responsive and made check-in and check-out incredibly smooth. We'd absolutely recommend this place to anyone visiting Costa Rica, and we'd love to come back ourselves someday. Thank you for having us, it was a lovely stay!

The host is responsive, smiling and welcoming. The accommodation is clean and nice. The sounds of nature make the experience authentic and unforgettable. In addition, it is possible to observe several animals from the courtyard if you are even slightly lucky. We would highly recommend. Pura vida 🙂🎉

Excellent accommodation to share with a partner or family, well-equipped and complete kitchen, very friendly hosts, and the location is also really very close to everything 🙌🏻 We were unlucky that it was raining, but after that I plan to come back when the weather is better.

Tamara and Shaquille were super friendly and welcoming. The bungalow was very nice (especially the bathroom) and the AC and WiFi were truly a luxury. The bungalow’s location feels very secluded and immersed in nature, yet is conveniently located close to many beautiful beaches and great restaurants. I would highly recommend staying here if you have the opportunity.

Our stay at Tamara and Shaquille’s was absolutely lovely. The property was beautiful, private and peaceful which was great to come back to after a long day of exploring. The outdoor kitchen/dining space was really nice as well, and was stocked with all utensils and cookware needed. Being able to watch the wildlife roam while sitting in the hammock was was my favorite part. Looking forward to staying here again!
