The Space
Set on 2,000 square meters, Casa Hakuna Matata provides a tranquil escape for up to four guests.
The upper bedroom opens onto the Moondeck, a terrace furnished with comfortable loungers where you can relax beneath the open sky. The home’s open tropical architecture and green roof help keep the interior naturally cool. Glass doors and mosquito nets create a comfortable connection with the surrounding environment.
High walls encourage airflow by directing warm air upward, while ceiling fans provide a refreshing breeze in every room. With carefully selected materials and thoughtful design, air conditioning is unnecessary.
The open-plan kitchen and living area create a welcoming space for relaxation and connection, reflecting the home’s eco-conscious design.

- Since February 2025, railings have been installed on the lower floor, along the kitchen area, and beside the staircase to make the home more child-friendly. Updated photos will be added soon.
- Wi-Fi is available, and mobile networks also work well inside the house.
- We make every effort to keep the home clean. However, because of its open design, dust may settle quickly on the furniture. Living here means embracing a harmonious relationship with nature.
- The house is located in a lively neighborhood. You may occasionally hear reggaeton music from nearby neighbors and trucks traveling along the main road.
- In the mornings, roosters from the neighbors across the road may crow, as is common throughout Torio.

The place is very nice. Our stay was perfect. We wanted something that felt secluded, but not completely isolated, and this house was ideal. It has everything you need for the price, and everything was great, including attention.

This place is amazing! The light in the morning is so beautiful and the sounds of birds & waves ease you into that relaxation state. The hamacas were the perfect addition as well.

The place exceeded my expectations. It is a place of rest and very idyllic. The cooking area is open and has a high quality gas stove. In the morning you can hear local animals and at the same time the sea rushing in the distance. The beds are very comfortable and everything is stylishly designed and in very good condition. In the garden we were allowed to harvest a ripe pineapple and the rain shower in the outdoor area has warm water and is fantastically beautifully designed. In the trees we could see hummingbirds. Within walking distance is the sea and a waterfall for swimming. In the street are several restaurants, of which we were in two and ate well. The place was a highlight of our trip and communication with the hosts excellent! I 100% recommend it! Five ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

We had an amazing stay. We were 3 surferfriends and the place felt like home for us. Beautiful nature, good vibes and very lovely people in town and area. Amy always replied very fast and was happy to help us anytime. Thank you for this beautiful stay, we all realy appreciated it.

The house is very nice. It has everything you need for a friendly weekend. is located in a central place, close to the beach and the river. the communication with manu, it was very simple , always ready to answer our doubts.

The house is really special. It is completely open but the bedrooms are lockable. However, not suitable for small children. We had quite bad luck with the weather, it rained more or less continuously on 4 out of 6 days, but it didn't rain in the house despite the missing walls and you could sit out the rain well in the hammock. We were surprised that there were no insects. Amenities are good, but everything you need is no longer brand new due to the tropical weather. Amy and Ryan were great hosts, with tips and always easily accessible.

Nice eco-friendly place. Great for disconnecting from city life. Amy and Ryan are super friendly and helpful. Not toddler friendly though.
