Casa Chablis
Beautiful, spacious, colonial home (Casa Chablis on House Hunters) has 4 bedrooms, magnificent views, 6 patios, large pool, cooling breezes created by architecture and located in one of the best neighbourhoods in Centro Historico, walk to all. No extra fees for cleaning but as with most homes in Merida electricity is charged based on consumption. Not ideal for small children due to walls and pool located in the courtyard. Advise you message me before booking if you have small children.
The space Most of the house is on the ground level (1st floor) with 2 bedrooms that are on-suite and have king size beds. Family suite is on 2nd floor, includes 2 of the bedrooms and you need to walk through the main bedroom to get to the twin bed room and they share a bath room. Patios overlooking the city on 3rd and 4th floor. Guest toilet on ground floor and 3rd floor. Unique architecture creates a constant breeze when doors are opened, making the house uniquely comfortable in hot weather and no need for air-conditioners, but they are there if preferred. The house is very large, 6500sqft +, about double of the average house in Centro.
Guest access Guests have access to the whole house.
Other things to note Please note that the water system is only designed for 8 people. It has a pressure system on it and works very well. However, guests who used large amounts of water (due to being more than 8 people) ran out of water because the inflow from the City is very slow. If you have a group larger than 8 this house is not for you. We do allow events/outside caterers, as the house is very conducive to hosting events with the large spaces. However, our house manager must be hired to be there. Our house manager is also an excellent cook and has a team of ladies she can hire to help her. We highly recommend her and prefer guests to use her services.

Incredible home right in the heart of Meridá! Spacious, wonderful pool to cool off in, well stocked kitchen, and a sunset not to be missed on the rooftop! One of the best airbnbs I've ever stayed in.

We loved the house! It was in a nice location within easy walking distance of many restaurants and the downtown/centro. Nicolette was easy to communicate with when needed as was Yoli her housekeeper, who came in once during our stay to refresh the sheets etc. on a day we were out doing tours. Lots of space in the house for three couples and two children. The wifi is quite weak in the front bedroom and front entry part of the house but other than that everything was terrific!

Our family stayed in this wonderful home for a week. It's just as described and beautiful in person. There are plenty of seating areas to relax in and plenty of rooms for everyone. The views were great, the pool was nice to cool off in and having a/c in each room helped for the hot days. The kitchen was easy to use and there was plenty of water for all of us. It was walking distance to just about everything we wanted to do. Yoli was wonderful and made our kids feel included in the meals. Having her cook for us made the experience of eating the local food even better. Yoli even helped us plan a birthday celebration for our twins, piñata and everything. Overall this was a great home to spend our time in Merida and we look forward to visiting again.

We could not have imagined a better apartment for Merida. Everyone was so kind, everything worked perfectly, rooms are comfortable quiet and spacey and especially the terrace was the ideal spot for our evenings. Thank you so much for everything!!!!
