Making Friends In The Basket

Finca la Canasta was a lovely place for our family of 4, and Ulfran and Iris were wonderful hosts. The entire home was beautiful, with comfortable beds and a well stocked kitchen. Every night we went to sleep with the sound of the river, and every morning, we enjoyed waking up to the calls of howler monkeys, toucans and parrots. We will definitely return for a longer stay next time we're in this part of Costa Rica!

Beautiful house with absolutely everything one needs to feel at home. It's very well equipped. The property is beautiful with room to walk and admire the gardens. The kitchen is well equipped, and the rooms are very comfortable. The house is spacious enough to accommodate many people. You just have to be careful with the nearby river when it rains a lot.

Good stay, quiet and very peaceful place. Ulfran is very responsive and friendly.

Please note that the house is usually occupied by the host and his family. Upon reservation, they vacate the house to give access to the tenants. The house is very well-equipped and there is plenty of space, ideal for a family. It is very well located for access to the Tenorio Volcano National Park (Rio Celeste). We had a great time there! Note that we stayed there in July, during the rainy season, and since Bijagua is located between 2 volcanoes, the cloud cover was omnipresent and the rain was very frequent, with few periods of sunshine. Ulfran and his family are extremely welcoming and accommodating.

Excellent place. The house is very beautiful, comfortable, fully equipped, and very quiet. The place is surrounded by lots of nature, a small lake, and a park for children. The owner was very kind. He waited for us even though we arrived at almost 11 pm, and he welcomed us with a beautiful, very friendly orange cat. We definitely look forward to visiting you again

We stayed with Ulfran Gerardo last night and it was a really amazing experience. From the moment we arrived, they made us feel at home. The location is perfect They were extremely friendly and helpful, and the house was spotless. The place conveys a lot of peace and quiet, ideal for resting and disconnecting from everyday stress. Our children really enjoyed the games and activities available, which made the stay even more special for the whole family. If you are looking for a place to relax, reconnect, and feel at home, this is definitely the perfect place. We recommend staying with Ulfran Gerardo 100%!

Ulfran's place is a beautiful oasis. They are a generous host who communicate well and fast! The accomodation is near a river, which luls you to sleep. In front of the proper lies luscious trees where funky little birds like to hang out. The kitchen is well stocked, beds quite comfortable and every bedroom had a fan to help with the heat. The only downside may be the lack of hot water in the shower, which can be forgiven given the beauty of the surroundings! Thank you Ulfran, we want to come back to your home.
