Private Villa w/ Pool Bar + Rooftop Lounge

Awesome spot. Better than the photos. Very quick into town (3-5 minute golf cart). Pool was awesome. Rooms were all great. Kitchen was well done. Miguel got us great restaurant and church recs! Access to beach club was great. Easy spot to get into good waves without going all the way to town.

The place is nice and very spacious and clean. The location is great. Easily walkable to playa Langosta and playa Tamarindo. We traveled with our four kids including a 1yr old and we didn't have a stroller or use our front pack. She's a good walker but it was so close to the beaches that we could easily carry her. Mornings on playa Langosta are very shaded and lovely exploring the tide pools and drinking coffee. Restaurants are walkable but having a golf cart was super nice. There are also scooters and other ways to get around if you choose not to rent a car. We cooked most of our meals and the kitchen had what we needed. With young kids note that the bedrooms all open to the pool area so if you're not in the room where your little ones are sleeping that's a little nerve wracking but we managed. Overall great stay. It was probably on the large side for our family of 6. Could have accommodated 4 more people comfortably.

Pura Vida! Miguel was a wonderful host. The home was beautiful and perfect for our two families. Playa Langosta and Tamarindo beach are both easily walkable. Just ask one of the friendly neighbors to show you the walking paths.

We had a great family vacation. The house is amazing and perfect for our family. The private pool and surround Sonos sound system was fun for all and the roof top porch was perfect for sunsets and a cup of coffee in the morning where you see the waves rolling in. The private beach is a minute walk from the house and the gated community gives you peace of mind. We would love to return and will recommend this place to our family and friends.

We had the most amazing stay at Estrella del Mar. The house is absolutely beautiful inside and out. It has everything you need and more. It was perfect for our group of two families; 4 adults, 3 kids. All rooms face the pool/courtyard area, providing privacy. We spent the majority of our time in the pool and on the roof top deck. The deck was the perfect place for morning coffee, yoga and evening sunset. The view is breathtaking and we were able to observe several different bird species in action. There is beach access directly across the street. We took advantage of the Longosta Beach Club access which is included in your stay. Rent a golf cart to get around town. There is a small market that had the basics we needed. We also enjoyed several restaurants in the area. Miguel is a superior host, helping us before and during our stay with transportation, surf lessons, chef, and excursions. He is easy to communicate with too. We can't wait to come back. Book it!

Amazing place. Great host!!

We were stranded after another host canceled on us so we booked Miguel's place. It exceeded our expectations in every way. It is in a gated community and close to the beach. Miguel was the best. Instantly responded and offered local suggestions. We stay at his unit again when we go back to Tamarindo.

We were four couples with everyone enjoying our 12 day stay at Estrella del Mar. This high end villa is efficiently managed by the wonderful Miguel. Minor issues were addressed immediately. Nearly recommended restaurants include Tandor, Sophia and Fishes & Cheese. Our favs in town were L’Estancia, Dragonfly, Red Door, Bamboo Sushi & Palapa fire show. All require reservations. GrillMaster chefs prepared a delicious BBQ at the villa midway through our stay. Some couples loved the spa service at the Playa Langosta Beach Club (also delicious lunches) Early morning horseback riding was also a hit. Midday shade was tricky to find and outdoor ceiling fans would make a huge difference in comfort - as would a detailed house manual describing its many cool features. All in all Estrella is a lovely spot to relax.

Miguel was very pleasant and helpful throughout the booking process and the stay. The property was fantastic, just like the pictures, and very easy to walk into town.
