The Space

Casa Kali is a spacious, modern, and well-equipped home in a quiet residential area just a few minutes’ walk from Playa Negra. The property features a private pool, air conditioning in the bedrooms, and a lush tropical garden.

Designed to maximize natural ventilation and light, the house offers open, comfortable spaces that connect the interior with the garden and pool. It is an ideal choice for families or groups seeking comfort, privacy, and proximity to nature while remaining close to central Puerto Viejo, restaurants, and shops.

The enclosed tropical garden creates a peaceful and private setting. After a day at the beach or exploring the Southern Caribbean, guests can relax in the comfort of the house and enjoy the surrounding nature.

Guest Access

Guests have exclusive access to the entire house and property throughout their stay. There are no other homes or accommodations on the land, ensuring complete privacy and no shared areas with other guests.

Host Availability

I am happy to assist with guest inquiries every day from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. I am also available at check-in to ensure everything is in order.

After guests have settled in, they can enjoy complete independence and privacy. I remain available during the stated hours if assistance is needed.

Several transportation options are available in Playa Negra and Puerto Viejo de Talamanca:

• Walking: Many attractions, restaurants, and beaches are within walking distance. Walking is a pleasant way to explore the area and enjoy its relaxed atmosphere.
• Bicycle rental: Bicycle rentals are common in Puerto Viejo and the surrounding area. Cycling is an environmentally friendly way to travel, with many scenic routes available.
• Scooter rental: Renting a scooter provides additional mobility and makes it easier to reach more distant locations. Helmets are mandatory in Costa Rica.
• Local taxis: Local taxis can take you to nearby destinations. Agree on the fare before beginning your trip.
• Public transportation: Public buses connect Puerto Viejo with nearby towns and other cities. This is an economical option, although schedules and comfort may vary.
• Car rental: Renting a car is useful for exploring destinations farther from Puerto Viejo, such as Cahuita or Manzanillo.
• Organized tours: Many tour companies provide transportation to and from your accommodation for activities such as jungle tours, snorkeling, and national park visits.

Road conditions in the area can vary, so drive carefully. Since many of the main attractions and beaches are close to one another, walking or cycling may be convenient depending on your plans.

Air Conditioning

The house has air conditioning only in the bedrooms.

The air-conditioning units are not designed to cool the living room. Please keep the bedroom doors closed while the air conditioning is operating.

Identification and Electronic Invoicing

Due to Costa Rican government tax regulations, guests are asked to provide an identification number from an identity card, driver’s license, or passport so the corresponding electronic invoice can be issued.

This request has no tax implications for guests. Thank you for your understanding.
